Garmin announced the launch of Fenix 6 series smartwatches in India

Garmin today announced the launch of its new series of smartwatches in India. The company introduced the Fenix 6 series. Under this series, Garmin launched Fenix 6, Fenix 6S, and Fenix 6X and 6X Pro. The wearable comes with a solar charging lens, Pace Pro and music feature.

Garmin launched Fenix 6S with a price label of Rs 79,990 whereas Fenix 6 comes at Rs 79,990. Fenix 6X will be available at Rs 84,990 while on the other hand, Fenix 6X Pro Solar comes with a starting price of Rs 94,990. The Fenix 6 series will be available for purchase via all the leading e-commerce websites Amazon, Flipkart, Paytmmall and Tata CLiQ.

Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar is the first smartwatch that comes with the support for solar charging feature. It comes with a transparent Power Glass that uses Solar Energy to charge the battery. This feature increases the performance of the battery to an additional 3 days when used outdoors during the daylight.

While on the other hand Fenix 6 and Fenix 6X are multisport GPS enabled smartwatches. Both the watches come with a display size of 1.3-inches and 1.4-inches respectively whereas Fenix 6S comes with a 1.2-inches display screen, which is best suitable for smaller wrists.

Garmin has also introduced QuickFit nylon bands with silicon colour, which are best compatible with bigger display watches.

Fenix 6X series will be available with PacePro feature that tracks the users running pace strategy along with grade-adjusted guidance. The smartwatches can be easily connected to Garmin Connect or Garmin Connect Mobile to create plans directly from the watch. This allows them to keep track of their target split pace, the actual split pace, distance to the next split, and how much time they are ahead/behind on their target, right on the watch face.

The new line up also provides TopoActive Europe maps for outdoor adventures, ski maps for over 2,000 ski resorts worldwide, and 41,000 golf courses. The Fenix smartwatches also allow you to store up to 2,000 favourite songs without the need of your phone.

With the power manager feature, it let you control various settings and sensors impact battery life. According to the company for more confidence before activity or a long-distance trail running race, battery remaining can be represented in hours and days to help determine whether the adventure can last until the next charge.

You can also adjust your battery saving modes by disabling certain features. This will extend battery life. There is also the ClimbPro feature especially for athletes that permits trail runners and cyclists who train in hilly areas know more about the place’s environment as well as keep track of their performance during climbs.

All the models come with a wrist-based heart rate monitor for stress tracking, underwater wrist-based heart rate for swimming and Pulse Ox blood oxygen saturation in order to monitor sleep and altitude acclimation. It also allows you to receive incoming call alerts, texts, emails and more this can be done by enabling smart notifications. The Fenix 6 series comes with Garmin Pay for contactless payments across the world by tapping and pay per ride using their watch without the need for transit card, phone or wallet.
