Redmi K20 Pro teaser for India launch calls it the “world’s fastest phone”

Redmi K20 Pro will be launching in India before mid-July.

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi recently launched its Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in its home country. The flagship handset is now teased to launch in India too. The company has shared an image on social media that says that the device is the “world’s fastest phone.” It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes with up to 8GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with a pop-up selfie camera and has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The image was shared by the company on the official Redmi India Twitter account, and this makes it clear that the smartphone will be launched in India very soon. It is also worth mentioning that the trailer takes a jab at the OnePlus 7 Pro. It says, “Some celebrations are short-lived. Stay tuned.” Along with this is the image that calls Redmi K20 Pro the fastest phone in the world.

We should point out that Xiaomi has not disclosed the exact launch date of the Redmi K20 Pro in India. But then, a few days back the company’s managing director Manu Kumar Jain said on Twitter that Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 will be launched in India in “the next six weeks.” This period indicates that the smartphone will be launched until mid-July.

Redmi K20 Pro price

The Redmi K20 Pro was launched in three variants in China – 6GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage. While the base model costs CNY 2,499, the 128GB storage model holds a price tag of CNY 2,599, the most high-end one is available at CNY 2,999. This basically means that all the smartphones are priced between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000. Even in India, the pricing of the device is expected to be similar.

Redmi K20 Pro specifications

The Redmi K20 Pro smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with MIUI and features a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display.
