The popular photo-sharing app Snapchat has introduced Dynamic Stories to its Discover feed. The new feature will allow users to see the latest news from around the world as it happens on the platform. This feature is currently being tested in a few countries including India. Stories will be created by the social media platform from content created by verified media publishers and content creators on the web.
In India, Snapchat will use RSS feeds from media partners to create stories for the Snapchat community in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Snapchat has announced the launch of Dynamic Stories in India. With Dynamic Stories – this new Discover format uses a partner’s RSS Feed to automatically create Stories from the content a Publisher is already creating on the web.
Dynamic Stories will display content in multiple languages in India, including English, Hindi, and Marathi. Users will be able to see Stories update instantaneously in their Discover feeds.
While announcing the feature the company said, Introducing the fastest way to publish premium content for the Snapchat community: Dynamic Stories. We have always felt a deep responsibility to highlight news and information that is credible and from trusted and clear sources.”
These Stories, which are available in the Discover feed, update in real-time, allowing Snapchatters to stay up to date on the latest news as it happens. Dynamic Stories helps Snapchatters learn about the world as it happens, whether it’s breaking news from reliable sources about the war in Ukraine or the latest in pop culture or fashion.
Snapchat said, “By tying publishing on Snapchat into our partners’ existing workflow, we’ve created an easy way for them to create daily content and significantly lower costs. This new format will also play a significant role in supporting our continued effort to bring local content to our community across the globe. We have already begun testing in the US, UK, France, and India.”
GQ India, MissMalini, Pinkvilla, Sportskeeda, The Quint, Times Now, and Vogue India will be among the first publishers in India to feature content on Snapchat. While in the US it will be providing content from Axios, Bloomberg, Buzzfeed, CNN, Complex Networks, Condé Nast (Self, Vogue), ESPN, Insider, New York Post, Page Six, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, TMZ, Tom’s Guide, Vice.
In France, the media partners are British Vogue, GQ UK, The Independent, and The Mirror. While in France it has associated with Femme Actuelle, Foot Mercato, Gala, GQ France, Le Figaro, Marie Claire FR, Paris Match, Vogue France.
