The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is the fourth model in the S25 series, after the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. This new model delivers flagship-level performance in a more streamlined design. This updated version comes in a sleeker design with flagship-level performance. The Edge offers more than just superficial distinctions from its companions in terms of style, cameras, battery life, and performance. It is intended to give users who want flagship-level performance a more minimalist experience. The issue remains, though: will a smaller form factor and battery be enough to convince buyers to choose the Edge over the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra? Let’s compare the three phones and see how they compare.

Our Take
All of the Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphones—the S25 Edge, S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra—have distinctive features and looks. The Edge weighs 163 grams and is 5.8 mm thick, slightly undercutting the base S25. Its 6.7-inch display surpasses the base model’s 6.2-inch panel and is comparable to the S25 Plus. For increased scratch resistance, Samsung has protected the Edge’s display with ceramic glass. Nevertheless, it only offers three colour possibilities, whilst the rest of the portfolio provides up to seven.

The Edge’s camera hardware is simple, having a dual-camera configuration rather than the triple-lens systems of the other variants. A 12-megapixel secondary ultra-wide camera replaces the Ultra’s 200-megapixel primary back camera. Since all four phones—including the Edge—have a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, they may be used for video calls and selfies. The Edge, however, could be restrictive for people who use zoom or wide-angle photography frequently.

With a smaller 3,900mAh battery, Samsung’s latest thin phone, the Edge, has the smallest battery of the four variants. The original S25 features a slightly bigger 4,000mAh battery, whereas the S25 Plus and Ultra have larger 4,900mAh batteries. Particularly when used extensively, the Edge’s screen-on time is less. The same top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers all four phones, offering comparable speed and multitasking capabilities.
Style and sophistication are provided by the S25 Edge’s ultra-thin frame, lightweight construction, and 200-megapixel sensor. Because it employs the same processor as other Samsung Galaxy S25 models that are sold in India, users looking for a high-end phone may expect reliable performance at a lower cost.
