Is your iPhone compatible with iOS 26? Here’s the list of eligible devices

The new iOS 26 brings a new design language to iPhones along with a bunch of nifty features.

Apple unveiled iOS 26 to the world at the WWDC 2025 event held yesterday. It incorporates the new ‘Liquid Glass’ design language, bringing a fresh look to the UI. On top of that, the new OS brings feature additions to the Apple Intelligence package. With its announcement at WWDC25, the first developer beta version of iOS 26 has gone live. Apple will start pushing the public beta versions from next month. Here is the list of all iPhone models that are compatible with iOS 26.

What’s new on iOS 26?

Apple’s new OS nomenclature brings uniformity across all its devices. The new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS will have 26 as their version number. The Liquid Glass design language is another motif that brings all Apple devices together. It seeks to focus on the content by bringing translucency to navigation, app icons, controls, widgets and other elements. The in-app tabs have been trimmed and minimised to give more space on the screen to the content.

The native Phone app gets a ‘Call Screening’ feature that gathers information from the caller and relays it to the user. This allows the user to screen their calls and avoid pesky telemarketers. Meanwhile, Hold Assist comes in handy when you’re on the line with support staff and need someone to alert you when your call reaches a live agent.

Apple Intelligence gets a big boost on iOS 26 with Live Translation. This feature is neatly woven into the Messages, FaceTime, and Phone apps. It allows the user to seamlessly communicate with someone who doesn’t speak their language.
