The OnePlus Nord 5 series is going to be released in India today at the OnePlus Summer Launch Event. The portfolio will include two phones: the OnePlus Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5. The Nord 5 will include a dual back camera with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700 main sensor, and the Nord CE 5 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset. The OnePlus Nord 5 is estimated to cost roughly Rs 30,000, while the Nord CE 5 would include a 7,100mAh battery and 80W fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord 5 and the Nord CE 5 India launch is set to take place today. Along with handsets, the company has also confirmed to bring next-gen OnePlus Buds 4 TWS. Both devices will be sold via oneplus.in, Amazon, and offline retail stores in the country. OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 India launch is scheduled to take place on July 8. The OnePlus Nord 5 is set to go on sale on July 9 at noon IST (Indian Standard Time). On the other hand, Nord CE 5 is going to be available for purchase on July midnight IST.
The OnePlus Nord 5 is confirmed to be the first device in the series to feature the Snapdragon 8 series chipsets. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform’s 4nm architecture, Kryo CPU, and LPDDR5X RAM are said to provide exceptional performance. The device also supports Snapdragon Elite Gaming with hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing, making it a top choice for gaming enthusiasts.
The OnePlus Nord 5 will be offering a powerful gaming experience with native support for popular games like Battlegrounds Mobile India and Call of Duty Mobile. Its frame interpolation boosts performance up to 144fps, and its thermal management system with Cryo-Velocity VC cooling ensures smooth performance. The OnePlus Nord CE5 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset, which has an octa-core CPU architecture with four high-performance Cortex-A715 cores and four power-efficient cores. It also features a 6-core Mali-G615 GPU for graphics, which improves speed and energy efficiency. The gadget will include next-generation LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring consistent power across several applications.
The Nord CE5 will include a 7,100 mAh battery that offers a multi-day battery life on a single charge. It will support 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 1% to 100% in 59 minutes. The phone is said to feature Battery Health Magic for stable battery management and Bypass Charging for power optimisation, reducing heat generation, minimising wear, and increasing battery lifespan. A ten-minute charge can provide over six hours of YouTube entertainment.
In regards to photography, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 will have a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation for clear, blur-free images. It will incorporate the same advanced RAW HDR technology and Real Tone exposure technology as the OnePlus 13 series. Live Photo now supports Ultra HDR for cover frames, which provides more dynamic range and detail. The camera can capture up to 4K 60fps HDR video with accurate colour reproduction.

On the contrary, the OnePlus Buds 4 TWS will offer superior sound quality with Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0, and 3D Audio. It will also feature 47ms ultra-low latency in Game Mode for gamers, ensuring perfect audio sync with on-screen action. The device will come in Zen Green and Storm Gray colours. According to the company, the OnePlus Buds 4 will deliver a long-lasting playing time of up to 11 hours on the earphones and 45 hours with the charging case. It features easy audio control with slide gestures, Stedy Connect technology for reliable outdoor connectivity, and AI Translation for real-time conversation conversion. The Buds 4 will also feature Google Fast Pair and Dual-Device Connection for a smarter listening experience.
