Spotify has extended its premium audiobook service, Audiobooks+, to accommodate Premium Family and Duo members for the first time. The service was first tested in Ireland and Canada, and it is now being pushed out in 11 additional countries spanning continents.
According to the latest press release from Stockholm-based music streaming service Spotify, its Audiobooks+ premium audiobook streaming service has been expanded to new countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. The new add-on plans provide members more freedom, allowing them to use the service for trials in countries such as Ireland and Canada.
“Spotify’s goal with audiobooks is to help grow the publishing industry and create the best possible experience for booklovers, which is why we’re launching flexible subscription plans to suit every type of fan.”
Spotify revealed the Audiobooks+ add-on, which is accessible to Premium Individual, Family, and Duo plan managers. It adds 15 hours of monthly listening to the existing basic plan, making it ideal for book enthusiasts.
In a similar way, Audiobooks+ members, to Premium Family and Duo may listen to audiobooks for 15 hours each month. This is accessible through a recurring add-on plan, which members can get from their plan manager. If the 15-hour limit has been exceeded, customers can purchase a top-up for a 10-hour listening experience, which will be restored when their monthly subscription cycle begins again.
