Preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE were at an all-time high, Samsung revealed

The foldables secured 210,000 pre-orders in the first 48 hours

Samsung claims that its newly released Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE smartphones have achieved record pre-orders, indicating strong customer interest in and enthusiasm for the company’s seventh generation of foldable smartphones. Last week’s Galaxy Unpacked Event featured the newest foldable phones.

According to the company, with 210,000 pre-orders in the first 48 hours, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE broke previous records and almost matched the pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 features an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen with a resolution of 2,184×1,968 pixels, 368ppi, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (1~120Hz). For the cover screen, the foldable has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 2520 x 1080 pixels of resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio. The outer display also supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (1~120Hz) and 422ppi.

Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage options. The processor is said to offer a performance boost of 41% in NPU, 38% in CPU, and 26% in GPU compared to the previous generation. Android 16-based One UI 8 comes preloaded.

The flagship foldable phone comes with a triple outer camera setup that includes a 200MP Wide-angle Camera (Quad Pixel AF, OIS, F1.7, Pixel size: 0.6μm, FOV: 85˚), a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera (Dual Pixel AF, F2.2, Pixel size: 1.4μm, FOV: 120˚) and a 10MP Telephoto Camera (PDAF, OIS, F2.4, Pixel size: 1.0μm, FOV: 36˚, 3X optical zoom). On the cover, it has a 10MP Selfie Camera (F2.2, Pixel size: 1.12μm, FOV: 85˚).

The phone packs a 4,400mAh (typical) dual battery that supports 25W charging.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow (outer screen) with 1048 x 948 pixels of resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate support. It features a 6.9-inch FHD+ main Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 2520 x 1080 pixels of resolution. The display supports 120Hz Adaptive refresh rate (1~120Hz), 2,600 nits of peak brightness and has an aspect ratio of 21:9.

The clamshell-style foldable phone runs on One UI 8 skinned over Android 16 out of the box. The device is powered by Exynos 2500 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage option. Samsung DeX is now integrated into the Galaxy Z Flip 7, allowing it to transform into a convenient workstation, providing PC-like tools for enhanced multitasking when opened and connected to a screen.

For the photos and videos, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera (F2.2, Pixel size: 1.12μm, FOV: 123˚) and a 50MP Wide-angle Camera (Dual Pixel AF, OIS, F1.8, Pixel size: 1.0μm, FOV: 85˚). For selfies, it packs a 10MP front-facing camera (F2.2, Pixel size: 1.12μm, FOV: 85˚).

The handset sports a 4,300mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 31 hours of video play time on a single charge.
