Google Pixel 10 Series

Google Pixel 10 leak - Exclusive

The Google Pixel 10 will be one of the biggest smartphones to release in August 2025. Google’s latest flagship smartphone series will comprise 4 models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. What makes this series special is Google’s in-house Tensor G5 chip, which will no longer rely on Samsung’s architecture. We expect a notable jump in performance. For the first time, we could see Google’s chipset rivalling the flagship offerings put forward by Qualcomm and Apple. In terms of design, there aren’t many changes expected on the Pixel 10 Series. Online leaks suggest that Google will stick with the trimmed-down camera visor that made its debut on the Pixel 9 series.

Release Date: August 20

After launching the Y400 Pro this month, Vivo will add a vanilla variant to the lineup on August 4. The base variant will follow the design language of the Pro model. It will be made available in 2 colour options: Glam White and Olive Green. While Vivo has not revealed the smartphone’s specs, it will likely carry a Snapdragon chipset under its hood and flaunt a 120Hz AMOLED display. Rumours also suggest that the Y400 will pack a 6,000mAh battery, which would be a bigger unit than the Pro model. The smartphone’s dual camera array will comprise a primary wide-angle shooter and a depth sensor.

Release Date: August 4.

Samsung Galaxy A17

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Review: An excellent affordable smartphone
Samsung Galaxy A16

The Samsung Galaxy A17 is one of the highly anticipated budget smartphones of 2025, set to be launched in August. It was recently spotted on Geekbench, indicating an imminent release. Samsung will stick with its vertical camera design language on the A17. Its main camera sensor will finally get OIS. However, Samsung will carry forward the Galaxy A16’s Exynos 1330 SoC on the A17. If the online renders are to be believed, the waterdrop notch on the display for the front-facing camera isn’t going anywhere either. We expect the Galaxy A17 to be priced under Rs 17,000.

Expected release: Late August

Redmi 15

Redmi 15 Upcoming Smartphones in August 2025

Redmi’s number series will get an update this August. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen chipset and run the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. Its 6.9-inch display will have an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. This happens to be one of the largest displays in the budget segment. One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is its massive 7,000mAh Si/C battery pack. Its support for 18W wireless charging allows the smartphone to act like a power bank as well. Xiaomi claims that the Redmi 15 can last 13.5 hours on 1% battery in Hibernation Mode. The smartphone’s rear camera array will house a 15MP primary shooter. The device will be equipped with AI features like Circle to Search and Gemini.

Release Date: August 19.

Oppo K13 Turbo Series

Oppo K13 Review: Great performance under Rs 20k Upcoming Smartphones in August 2025
Oppo K13

Oppo has started teasing the K13 Turbo Series, indicating an August launch. There will be 2 variants in this series, the vanilla K13 Turbo and the K13 Turbo Pro. The base variant will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8340 SoC, while the Pro model will pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset under the hood. Designed for gamers, the K13 Turbo models will have a built-in fan to manage the internal temperature. The base variant will have a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Its 7,000mAh Si/C battery pack will support 80W charging.

Expected Release: Early August.

Lava Agni 4

lava agni 3 Upcoming Smartphones in August 2025
Lava Agni 3

The new Lava Agni 4 is one of our most anticipated smartphone releases this month. The Agni series sits at the top of Lava’s smartphone lineup in the country. Last year, Lava surprised us with a mini display on the back panel of the Agni 3. If the leaks about the Agni 4 are to be believed, it will ditch the mini display for a horizontal camera bar. The triple camera array will house a 50MP primary shooter, an ultrawide lens, and a telephoto sensor. The smartphone will also ditch its curved display and back panel for a flatter form factor. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset and rock a 7,000mAh battery pack under its hood.

Expected Release: Mid-August

Vivo V60

Vivo V60 Upcoming Smartphones in August 2025

Vivo has announced its latest V series offering. This comes as a surprise to us, given that the existing V50 series has not received a Pro model yet. It is unlikely that the V50 Pro will see the light of day, but the V60 holds a lot of promise. It will carry forward the curved form factor while rocking a slimmer profile. Its camera sensors will be tuned by Zeiss. The teasers dropped by Vivo confirm that the smartphone will be able to zoom up to 100x. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC and run the Android 15-based Funtouch 15 OS out of the box. It will rock an IP69/69 rating for resistance against dust and water.

Release Date: August 12.

Final Thoughts

These are all the major smartphones that will be launched in August 2025. If you’re thinking of upgrading to a flagship, we recommend holding off on buying a smartphone right now, as Apple plans on coming out with the latest iPhone 17 Series in September.
