BoAt Nirvana Ivy Pro Review: Design
When you compare the boAt Nirvana Ivy Pro to the previously released Nirvana Ivy, the Pro version feels more premium. The charging case has a sleek, pill-shaped rectangular design that fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. We received the Crystal Black colour version for review; however, it is also available in Mist Blue, Ivory Gold, and Purple Haze.
A lanyard slot makes carrying the device easier, and the Type-C charging port is well situated on the right side of the case.
When you open the flap, you will notice a small front LED for battery status and a physical pairing button within.

Despite being composed of plastic, the charging case’s construction appears to be sturdy. The stems of the actual earbuds sport a matte dual-tone appearance. Additionally, the stem shape provides improved grip and a more upscale feel. They are made to fit tightly in the ear and have an in-ear canal fit. To guarantee a proper fit, they come with ear tip sizes XS, S, M, and L. For the in-ear detection technology to function as best it can, this tight fit is also essential.
When an earbud is taken out or put on, in-ear detection employs the integrated sensors to automatically stop or restart music.
Additionally, the IPX5 rating of the earphones means that they are resistant to perspiration and splashes, making them appropriate for use while exercising or in light rain.
Touch controls have high sensitivity. In actuality, this means you may unintentionally switch off the gadget if you’re lying down during a call or listening to music and touching one of the earphones. As a result, you are unable to utilise it when side sleeping. The call is interrupted when you put the earbud back into the case and pull it out again to reconnect.
BoAt Nirvana Ivy Pro Review: Performance
By showing a pop-up suggesting a connection without requiring you to go through Bluetooth settings, Fast Pair makes pairing earphones to Android devices easier.
Even with LDAC enabled, we frequently experienced connectivity problems with this TWS, such as unexpected connection breakdown and persistent popping sounds. Additionally, these earbuds have a multipoint pairing feature that lets users link them with two devices at once.
Dual dynamic drivers are housed in the BoAt Nirvana Ivy Pro: a 6 mm tweeter for clear highs and an 11 mm woofer for deep bass.
Interestingly, industry professionals, including Grammy winner Luca Bignardi and director Imtiaz Ali, collaborated on the design of these earbuds.
With the 52 dB Hybrid Adaptive ANC built into the gadget, the noise cancellation level is automatically adjusted. We found it to be rather effective, since it continues to go between mid, low, and high depending on the ambient noise.
When it comes to noise cancellation, it performs remarkably well considering its price range, shutting out the majority of background noise throughout our workouts and commutes. Even prominent noises like construction, traffic, unwelcome loud music on the road, etc, may be effectively blocked by its powerful 50 dB ANC.
It has amazing sound quality. They are ideal for anything from phone conversations to music and podcasts because of their clear mids, sharp highs, and deep, powerful bass. The sound quality is excellent, and Dolby Atmos adds icing on the cake.
The BoAt Hearable app allows for presets and customisations.
Let’s now discuss the head tracking, which is the next parameter. Its distinctive head-tracking function and spatial audio experience are its key draws. One particularly unique element that works well and gives the sound more depth is the head-tracking mode.
It also contributes to good call quality and an immersive 3D audio experience. The sound quality significantly increases when Dolby Atmos mode is used; music sounds rich and detailed, particularly when streaming from compatible providers.
During a call, one of the earbuds in the pair will fall mute for a few seconds before going back to normal, indicating average call quality. If you often use the earphones for virtual meetings or phone calls, this might be annoying.
A function called BEAST Mode reduces audio latency to 50 ms for games and video viewers, guaranteeing smooth sound and visual synchronisation.

The battery life is a major problem. Even with modest usage, the charging case runs out quickly, undermining the ease of genuinely wireless earphones. Those who depend on a full-time battery may find it disappointing, as there is no way to improve or prolong the case battery life.
For fast power-ups before heading out, ASAP Charge is perfect since it can play for up to 200 minutes in only 15 minutes of quick charge.
Verdict
The BoAt Nirvana Ivy Pro combines amazing functionality with a few irritating idiosyncrasies that impact the user experience.
Despite these flaws, the BoAt Nirvana Ivy Pro works adequately in most everyday use, particularly if you value fast connectivity and advanced sound capabilities. With a few tweaks to power efficiency and touch input sensitivity, this could easily become a top pick in its price category. As it is, it’s a terrific all-around true wireless earbud for those who can put up with minor headaches.
