XElectron launches Techno and Techno Plus smart projectors in India

A compact pair of Android 13 projectors target living rooms, classrooms, and pop-up offices

XElectron has rolled out two wallet-friendly LED smart projectors, the Techno and Techno Plus, for the Indian market, and the XElectron Techno Plus price sits at Rs 8,990, while the Techno starts at Rs 6,990. Both models run Android 13, use an Amlogic T950S quad-core chip, and push screens up to 150 inches in 16:9 or 4:3, which makes them handy for binge nights, quick client decks, or impromptu outdoor screenings.

What is new

Rather than leaning only on specs, XElectron focuses on convenience features that matter in day-to-day use. You get Auto Keystone on both models for quick alignment, 210-degree rotation for flexible placement, and a built-in 20W Bluetooth speaker that saves you from scrambling for external audio. Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 are standard, and screen mirroring works with Android, iOS, and Windows devices. Rated lifespan is up to 40,000 hours, which translates to years of movie nights if you keep daily sessions short.

Techno vs Techno Plus

  • Resolution and optics: Techno Plus delivers native Full HD 1920 x 1080 with Auto Focus, while the Techno offers native HD 1280 x 720 with Remote Focus.

  • Brightness and contrast: Techno Plus is rated at 9000 lumens with a 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The Techno matches the 5000:1 ratio and taps a powerful LED light source for clarity in dim rooms.

  • Processor and software: Both use the Amlogic T950S quad-core platform with Android 13, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB internal storage for onboard apps.

  • Sound: A 20W in-built Bluetooth speaker on each model promises room-filling audio for movies and sports.

  • Languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese are supported.

Connectivity and I/O

Expect the basics most buyers need: HDMI for laptops and TV sticks, USB for media drives, 3.5 mm audio out for speakers or headphones, AC input, plus dual-band Wi-Fi projector connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0. For quick sharing, phone and PC screen mirroring is baked in, which is useful for last-minute presentations or watching short-form content without cables.

Use cases and projection distance

The projectors target a sweet spot of up to 150 inches from about 3.6 meters. That range covers a typical bedroom wall, a living room pull-down screen, or a portable fabric screen for the terrace. With auto focus auto keystone on the Techno Plus and Auto Keystone on the Techno, setup is meant to be a two-minute job.

Price and availability in India

Both will be available across leading e-commerce platforms and XElectron’s official store with a one-year nationwide warranty. If your checklist includes Android 13 smart projector features, Full HD 1080p projector output, and a 20W Bluetooth speaker, the Techno Plus hits the higher spec tier, while the Techno prioritises value.

Specs at a glance

  • Display: Up to 150-inch projection at roughly 3.6 m

  • Techno Plus: Native 1080p, Auto Focus, Auto Keystone, 9000 lumens, 70W power draw

  • Techno: Native 720p, Remote Focus, Auto Keystone

  • Processor: Amlogic T950S quad-core, Android 13, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage

  • Audio: 20W speaker with Bluetooth

  • Connectivity: HDMI, USB, 3.5 mm audio, dual-band Wi-Fi projector, Bluetooth 5.0

  • Lifespan: Up to 40,000 hours

  • Aspect ratios: 16:9 and 4:3

Budget projectors live or die by setup speed, app support, and sound. On paper, the Techno duo checks those boxes. If you want the sharper image and hands-off focusing, the Techno Plus makes the case at a modest bump. If price comes first, the Techno aims to be the low-risk starter kit for big-screen converts.
