The new models come with a new design, improved performance, camera systems, and battery life.

Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max at its “Awe Dropping” event. The Pro models are powered by the A19 Pro chip and will run on iOS 26 out of the box. They also feature new Apple Intelligence features. The device comes with an upgraded design integrating an Apple-designed vapor chamber for better heat dissipation. The 48-megapixel triple rear camera setup supports Dolby Vision HDR recording, 4K120 fps, ProRes Log, and support for ACES.

Price in India, Availability

The iPhone Pro comes in three variants: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB priced at Rs 1,34,900, Rs 1,54,900 and Rs 1,74,900 respectively.

On the other hand, iPhone 17 Pro Max has been introduced in four storage options with prices starting at Rs 1,49,900 for the 256GB storage. The 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options will be available at Rs 1,69,900, Rs 1,89,900 and Rs 2,29,900, respectively.

The devices will be available in silver, cosmic orange and deep blue colours. Both phones are scheduled to be available for pre-orders starting September 9, with sales commencing on September 19.

Specifications, Features

iPhone 17 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display. Whereas Pro Max features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display. The panel supports ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On, along with 3,000 nits of peak outdoor brightness. Apple has introduced a new vapour chamber function, which is not available on Android. The iPhone 17 Pro is also durable, with Ceramic Shield glass on both the front and back. 
Under the hood, there is the new A19 Pro chipset, a six-core CPU and GPU architecture, each with neural accelerators offering a six-core CPU and GPU architecture, each with neural accelerators.

Both Pro models come pre-installed with iOS 26. Also, these devices will be compatible with all of the Apple Intelligence Suite’s artificial intelligence (AI) features. They will operate on iOS 26 with new Apple Intelligence features such as Live Translation in the Messages, FaceTime, and Phone app and more.

The iPhone 17 Pro models feature a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary, ultrawide, and telephoto lens, the first time all three cameras have the same resolution. The telephoto camera is 56% larger and offers 8x optical zoom and 40x digital zoom. The phones also include an 18-megapixel selfie camera with Centre Stage mode.

The Pro models can be charged 50 per cent in 20 minutes with an optional high-wattage USB-C power adapter like Apple’s new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max.
