Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ Specs and Features
Overall, the two models have a lot in common, although the Galaxy S26+ has a bigger screen, a stronger battery, and charges more quickly.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ (Plus) are two versions in the new smartphone series that provide multiple capabilities geared at different user preferences. The Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the larger S26+ has a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with the same refresh rate, giving consumers improved visual clarity and fluidity. In Europe and India, both variants are powered by the Exynos 2600 CPU; however, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset is used in the United States.

Both variants come with 12GB of RAM, which is enough capacity for easy multitasking. The Galaxy S26 comes with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, doing away with the old 128GB basic variant. The S26+ has the same storage options.
The Galaxy S26 has a 4,300 mAh battery, whereas the S26+ has a bigger 4,900 mAh battery. This means that the S26+ may be used for a longer period of time. Also, the charging speeds are different: the S26 can charge at 25W wired, while the S26+ can charge at 45W wired, which is faster.
Both smartphones have the same camera specs: a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens.
The Galaxy S26 series focuses on integrating photo and video capture with simple editing and sharing capabilities.
- It has enhanced Super Steady capabilities to provide steady video recording.
- The new APV codec enables high-quality video retention after editing.
- AI ISP upgrades increase natural skin tones and detail in selfies across various lighting situations.
- AI-powered editing tools allow for seamless editing, such as scene improvements and object restorations.
- Creative Studio allows users to create and customise visuals using sketches or prompts.
- AI tools, such as Document Scan, make it easier to scan and organise photos into PDFs.
Other features
The Now Nudge function gives you helpful ideas at the right moment, making it easier to switch between tasks. For example, it automatically suggests photographs from the gallery that are related to shared memories, so you don’t have to spend a lot of time looking for them.
Now Brief helps users stay organised by showing them personalised reminders for important events and updates, which makes organising their days easier. The Circle to Search tool has been updated so that it recognises multiple items at a time. This functionality lets users look at various elements of photographs and get all the information they need in one search.

An improved Bixby makes it easier to speak to Galaxy devices. You can use natural language commands to change settings and find your way around without having to use specific words. Along with Bixby, other AI assistants like Gemini and Perplexity help you do things more quickly with simple prompts or button presses. They can also handle multi-step tasks in the background.
AI is mostly responsible for the Galaxy S26 series’ better software security measures. AI Call Screening is a new feature that tells you who is calling and summarises their intent. Privacy Alerts let you know when apps with device admin privileges access sensitive data. The Private Album function makes it easier to hide photographs and videos. Integrating post-quantum cryptography (PQC) makes devices more secure and protects processes like eSIM transfers.
Updates to Knox Matrix make devices even safer. Samsung Knox provides the foundation for these improvements. It adds features like the Personal Data Engine (PDE) for personalised user experiences, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) to protect app data, and Knox Vault to keep sensitive data secure. Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, and Secure Wi-Fi are some of the traditional security features that have been improved. The company also promises seven years of security upgrades, which makes the device more secure in the long run.
