The Nothing Headphone (a) has been released across the world, adding to the brand’s set of over-ear audio products. This model has adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) and breathable memory foam ear cushions for comfort. It has Nothing’s roller and paddle controls that allow for user customisation. The battery lasts a long time—up to 135 hours.

Pricing and Availability

  • The Nothing Headphone (a) costs £149 in the UK (about Rs 18,200), $199 in the US (also around Rs 18,200), and €159 in Europe (about Rs 17,000).
  • Colour Options: Black, White, Pink, Yellow (Limited Edition)
  • There have been no price or availability announcements for India yet.

Pre-orders for the headphone (a) have commenced and may be made today via Nothing’s official website and select retail partners. The open sales for the standard variations, which include black, white, and pink, will begin on March 13.

Additionally, a limited-edition yellow colour option will be available for purchase beginning April 6.

Specs and Features

The Nothing Headphone (a) is available in four different colours: yellow, pink, black, and white, appealing to a wide range of aesthetic options. Weighing just 310 grams, its lightweight form improves portability and comfort during usage. The headphones have ear cushions made of memory foam for extended listening sessions. They also have an IP52 classification, which means they are resistant to water, dirt, and dust, assuring their longevity and suitability for a wide range of environments and conditions.

In addition, a new camera shutter mode has been added, which allows the button to operate as a remote trigger. Users can enable hands-free photos or start video recordings on their linked devices with a simple push of the button.

  • With the Nothing X app, users can personalise their listening experience, which includes an 8-band Advanced EQ (equaliser) for precise sound adjustments.
  • The app enables the creation and sharing of customised sound profiles within the Nothing Community.
  • A real-time bass enhancement algorithm improves low frequencies, resulting in powerful bass while keeping clarity in mid and high tones.

Transparency Mode is intended to let ambient sound in, hence boosting awareness of the surroundings. It has Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with dual feedforward and feedback microphones. Advanced AI technology optimises noise cancellation in real time based on the surroundings and the headphones’ fit. A three-microphone AI algorithm, trained on over 28 million noise scenarios, further enhances voice quality by providing clear voice isolation. This technology provides excellent communication even in crowded areas.
