Xiaomi has announced the 17 Ultra in India, its new flagship smartphone, which has the world’s first Leica 1-inch LOFIC sensor and a Leica-tuned triple rear camera system. The handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU and has a large 6,000mAh battery. It was introduced with the standard Xiaomi 17 model after its worldwide introduction on February 28 in Barcelona, and it is now available in India via e-commerce platforms and Xiaomi’s official website.

Price in India, Availability

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been introduced in India for Rs 1,39,999. The gadget comes in a single configuration, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is available in two colours: black and white.

The new phone will go on sale on March 18 via Amazon and the Xiaomi India online shop. Customers who purchase the phone using an SBI credit card might get a major bank discount of Rs 10,000. There is also an intriguing early bird deal that includes a Professional Photography Kit Pro priced at Rs 19,999 for orders made between March 13 and March 17.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a large 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with an excellent refresh rate of 120 Hz, which improves the visual experience by providing smooth transitions and fluid response. The display can reach a maximum brightness of 1,060 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright settings. Dragon Crystal Glass 3 protects the smartphone from scratches and minor impacts. Furthermore, the gadget has strong water and dust resistance ratings of IP66, IP68, and IP69, which indicate that it can tolerate tough weather conditions. The IP ratings refer to the Ingress Protection standard, which measures how well a device is protected against solid particles and liquids.

This smartphone runs the latest Android 16, especially HyperOS 3, which is meant to provide a smooth user experience. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is driven by the powerful 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, which is well-known for its efficiency and power. In addition to the CPU, the gadget contains an Adreno 840 GPU, which optimises graphics performance, making it suited for gaming and high-definition video playing. Furthermore, it has a generous 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, allowing for efficient multitasking and improved performance. The device also has 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage, which provides plenty of capacity for applications, videos, and other data, increasing user ease and flexibility.

The Leica-tuned triple rear camera system includes the following:

  • A 50-megapixel primary LOFIC Omnivision 1050L camera with a 1-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS).
  • There is a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide-angle camera.
  • A 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera is also part of the rear camera setup.
  • For selfies, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel OV50M front camera.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes with a large 6,000mAh battery, which increases its longevity and use time. It has outstanding 90W wired fast-charging capabilities, which ensure quick charging times. In addition, the gadget enables wireless fast charging at 50W and reverse wireless charging at 22.5W, allowing for versatile charging on other compatible devices.
