Design: Built For Everyday Use
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra is a slim circular puck-style vacuum cleaner with a matte finish and gold accents, low enough to slide under most beds and sofas, and pleasant enough that you will not want to hide it behind a curtain. The matte texture does collect a fine film of dust faster than you would like, so that is the only place you would need to clean; otherwise it cleans and wet mops everywhere else on its own.

The PowerDock packs a 4.5-litre clean water tank, a 4-litre waste tank, a 3.2-litre sealed dust bag rated for roughly 100 days of debris, an auto detergent dispenser and a self-scrubbing washboard. All of that occupies real estate. If your house has a tidy nook near a plug point, brilliant. If it does not, you are about to redesign a corner of your home around a vacuum cleaner.

Performance: Thirty Thousand Pascals Walk Into A Living Room
Setup through the Dreamehome app is genuinely quick, with a QR code pairing and a fast mapping run that skips cleaning entirely and just draws the blueprint. One catch to plan for. The robot connects only over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, so you may need to briefly change bands during setup. The resulting map is accurate, rooms are auto-segmented, and you can label floor types so the machine knows the kitchen is tile and the bedroom is not.
Vacuuming is the least dramatic part of the story, which is a compliment. It empties out grooves, pulls litter and lifts long hair without daily untangling duty. Carpet detection raises the mop pads by up to 10.5mm and boosts suction, though owners with thick pile and heavy pet shedding should temper expectations. Raw Pascal figures never fully translate into carpet agitation.
Mopping is the actual party trick. The dock washes pads in near-boiling water, blasts them with hot air so nothing turns musty, and if the wastewater looks filthy the robot goes back and mops that zone again. Obstacle avoidance around cables, slippers and pet bowls holds up in dim light thanks to the RGB camera, which doubles as a roaming security cam with two-way audio and TÜV SÜD certification for IoT security standards. Voice control covers Alexa, Google, Siri, an onboard “OK, Dreame” wake phrase and Matter support.

Verdict: Should You Buy It, Or Just Buy A Mop?
The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra is not clever because of one number on a box. It is clever because after week one, you forget it exists. That is the real luxury being sold here, and it delivers. The knocks are honest ones. The dock is large, the price is slightly steep, and we would have preferred more Indian languages in the app. Deep carpet cleaning also could have been better.
But, this is a premium hard floor machine that happens to vacuum extremely well, not a carpet specialist. If your home is tile, marble or wood, with pets, kids and a mopping schedule nobody honours, it earns its keep. If your floors are mostly carpet, then you might want to think of another option.
