World Cup Bonanza: Get a TV for as low as Rs 3,699

Detel's new offering is claimed to be the cheapest TV in India.

Just before the Cricket World Cup 2019, Detel has launched a new television in India that is priced at Rs 3,699. Dubbed Detel D1 Star, the new offering by the company is claimed to be the cheapest TV in India and has gone on sale in the country already.

Coming to the features and specifications, the newly-launched television comes with a 17-inch LED display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Detel D1 Star comes with a host of connectivity options including HDMI, USB and VGA ports. The television has two speakers on its each side. Detel D1 Star comes with support for 10W speakers and 5Wx2 speakers.

On the launch of D1 Star, Mr Yogesh Bhatia, MD, Detel said, “Our mission stays intact and we are grateful that Indians around nooks and corners of the country accepted and appreciated our product Detel D1. We will continue to strive hard in order to make a change in the lives of unconnected people. Every product of ours has a different objective to fill in the gaps in the ecosystem. This is indeed a societal initiative which is promoting the idea of – Ab Har Ghar TV Se World Cup dekhega India.”

He further added, “We together embarked on a never-ending journey and presently we are working on a series of special initiatives which are set to bring a real-time change in the lives of unconnected Indians.”

The new offering from Detel comes with a warranty of 1 year and it has been launched under the company’s initiative ‘Ab Har Ghar TV Se Har Ghar World Cup.’ The company has said that the aim of its new initiative is to help “unconnected Indians to connect with their favourite sport – Cricket.”

The company has claimed that the new Detel D1 Star TV is the cheapest TV in India. Other than launching the television, the company has also announced a number of offers on its LED TV ranging from 24-inch to 65-inch TVs. These include:
