The AI-powered chatbot Bing Chat now has a new iOS widget and expanded text-to-speech support for more Indian languages, according to tech giant Microsoft. iOS users could interact with the chatbot immediately without opening the app thanks to the new feature. Moreover, additional languages supported by Microsoft’s text-to-speech expansion include Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, and Urdu.
The company via its blog post said, “We continue to ship previously announced features and respond to your product feedback. Some of these features may temporarily appear in your Bing Chat experience as we experiment with them. These Release Notes will update you on which features have shipped and are fully available to everyone as of today.”
According to a Microsoft blog post-Bing Chat is now accessible to iPhone and iPad users via a dedicated iOS widget. Users can start a chat once it is installed from their Home screen. The company said iOS users might find instructions for adding widgets to their iOS device’s Home screen here (this feature is also available on Android, as was previously mentioned).
Microsoft has also released text-to-speech support for even more languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Marathi, Norsk Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Urdu.
The latest update also brings improvements to its AI-powered chatbot Bing Chat. The company has improved the performance of the voice input button on the Bing mobile app for iOS and Android. It should now indicate it’s listening instantly once you tap it.
