Nothing Phone 2a launch date tipped, specs and design details also revealed

London-based tech firm Nothing is planning to introduce its third smartphone Nothing Phone 2a. The device is probably going to be released soon as details, leaks and reports about it have surfaced on the web. Recently a device which is believed to be Phone 2a was listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) site indicating an upcoming launch. Now a recent leak reveals a few important details about the alleged handset.

As per previous leaks and reports, Nothing Phone 2a details were leaked from the UK-based OEM that appeared online. Based on the disclosed information, the Phone 2a is anticipated to be a toned-down variant of Nothing Phone 2 that was launched this year in July.

A fresh report has revealed suggestions regarding the Nothing Phone 2a’s availability. According to reports, the phone will be sold under the model names PacmanIND, PacmanJPN, PacmanEEA, and Pacman in India, Japan, Europe, and other international markets.

Rumours suggest that the Phone is likely to be launched on February 27 at the ‘Nothing to See‘ Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. Along with this, the company may also tease Phone 3 at the same event,

According to the latest report, the Nothing Phone 2a is likely to make use of a 6.7-inch AMOLED display manufactured by BOE and Visionox under the product number rm692h5. The screen is expected to have 1,084 x 2,412 pixels of resolution. The display may also support a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Smartprix report further suggested that a MediaTek Dimenisty 7200 chipset might power the phone.

The claim, which cited tipster Kamila (@Za_Raczke), also stated that Nothing Phone 2a’s dual rear camera sensor is most likely to include a 0-megapixel Samsung S5KNG9 1/1.5-inch main sensor and the 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 1/2.76-inch ultrawide lens. It is further revealed that the phone is anticipated to feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor on the front.

The report goes on to say that the Phone 2a will be available in two colour options of Black and White. Seven wallpapers from the alleged Nothing Phone 2a were leaked namely “Ruxe,” “Nexul,” “Azunim White,” “Orbique,” “Rubrane Black,” “Ambra,” and “Virmar.”
Reportedly, the default wallpaper for the Black variant is likely to be Rubrane Black, while the White variant’s wallpaper will probably be Azunim White.
