Smart ways to earn from YouTube, a guide for creators and Artists: New Features unlocked

Video Streaming App owned by Google has been stepping up its efforts to support the success of creators and artists in 2023. The platform is always adding new tools to make it simpler for anybody to participate and produce content. So, in order to open up more ways for content creators and artists to generate income on the platform, YouTube has launched BrandConnect and Podcasts for Indian creators.

According to YouTube, “Estimates by Oxford Economics show that over 700,000 creators and partners in India have found their financial anchor in YouTube, receiving income linked to their YouTube presence.”

To encourage more content creation on its platform YouTube has announced upcoming Gen AI features that will make it easier than ever for anyone to express any idea. YouTube is enabling creators and artists to showcase their podcasts on YouTube and YouTube Music and has started to roll out this feature to listeners in India gradually. This will make it easier to post podcasts thanks to new capabilities in YouTube Studio, and podcast shelves on the YouTube Music homepage will boost listeners’ discovery and increase engagement for creators. With podcasts accessible on YouTube Music in India for on-demand, offline, and background listening, the company is also opening up opportunities to generate revenue through advertising and subscription fees.

By giving viewers who use Super Chat during their live streams a shoutout or channel membership, creators can reward their fans with exclusive content and perks.

To simplify the process of collaborating, producing, promoting, and measuring sponsored creator content for creators, top brands, and leading agencies YouTube has also introduced YouTube BrandConnect. This feature is now being rolled out to eligible creators and select advertisers in India.

As per the platform, “This will help brands execute their branded content campaigns more seamlessly by identifying the right mix and profile of creators to work with, while creators will have a new avenue to be discovered and earn more from their content.”
