Before you begin

Here are the requirements your devices need to meet before using Quick Share:

• The two devices must be within 5 metres (16 feet) of each other.
• Both devices must have Bluetooth and WiFi enabled.
• The devices should be running Android 6+, ChromeOS 91+, and 64-bit Windows 10+.
• ARM devices are not supported by Quick Share.

Here’s how you can send files using Quick Share

Step 1: Open the file you want to share and hit the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Tap on Quick Share.

Step 3: Hit Continue.

Step 4: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

Step 5: Turn on Quick Share from the Quick Settings Menu on the target device.

Step 6: In the ‘Who can share with you’ popup, select Everyone.

Step 7: On the device sharing the file, tap the name of the target device.

Step 8: Hit Accept on the target device.

The file will be transferred within seconds.
