CMF Phone 1 to feature a 50-megapixel Sony sensor

CMF has been gradually revealing key information regarding Phone 1 through teases leading up to the release.

 CMF Phone 1 is planned to be released in India on July 8. This is CMF’s first phone, which will be released alongside the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2. In the days leading up to the unveiling, CMF is releasing one significant feature of the smartphone each day. The company has been teasing the design and features of the next smartphone, including a removable back plate, display specifications, and CPU, and now details regarding the rear camera module are out. The new device has been listed on Flipkart, guaranteeing its availability as soon as it is launched.

CMF Phone 1 specifications (confirmed)

CMF by Nothing took to X.com to reveal camera details of the CMF Phone 1. The upcoming phone is confirmed to have a dual rear camera setup. As per the teaser, the upper left corner of the back of the smartphone has a vertically positioned pill-shaped camera module which is a little elevated and coloured differently from the rest of the panel. Within the housing, the two sensors are positioned vertically in distinct circular modules.
The CMF Phone 1 will have a 50-megapixel Sony sensor and an f/1.8 lens. Support for Ultra XDR has also been confirmed.

The camera specs were revealed after CMF had disclosed the upcoming device will use MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC, with its 8-core architecture and cutting-edge 4nm process from TSMC. The CMF Phone 1 will have a Super AMOLED display.

The CMF Phone 1 is said to be equipped with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display that supports HDR for vibrant colours and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Additionally, the CMF Phone 1 will provide outdoor visibility with a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The display can switch off individual pixels to provide deeper blacks without light leakage.

The 6.7-inch sAMOLED LTPS screen with FHD+ resolution on the CMF Phone 1 has been revealed by a source going by the name of Yogesh Brar. An adjustable refresh rate ranging from 30-120Hz will be available, with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. Inbuilt fingerprint scanning and a 16MP selfie camera are possible features of the phone.

A Sony sensor, a depth sensor, and a 50MP primary camera will also be included. Expected features of the phone include AI Vivid mode, EIS, and 4K30 FPS video recording. Anticipated features of the phone include AI Vivid mode, EIS, and 4K30 FPS video recording. Rumour has claimed that the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.

Furthermore, CMF is likely to introduce a smartphone with 6/8GB RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card that allows for 2TB of additional storage. The gadget is said to run the basic Nothing OS on Android 14, which will receive two years of OS upgrades and three years of security patches. A 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities might be included with the phone. Additionally, it could also have mono speakers and IP52 dust and water resistance.
