Motorola’s Edge family is getting bigger. After introducing Edge 50 Ultra, 50 Fusion and 50 Pro, Motorola Edge 50 has debuted in India today. The mid-range smartphone comes with a MIL-STD-810H-certified design and IP68 Underwater protection. The device features a Super HD 1.5K curved display, Sony-LYTIA 700C Camera with motoAI and more. Motorola Edge 50 Specs

Motorola Edge 50 is highlighted with a 6.7-inch 1.5K Super HD pOLED curved display with 10-bit colours, 120Hz refresh rate and 1600nits peak brightness. The screen also supports HDR10+ and comes with SGS Blue Light Reduction certification and Smart Water Touch technology. It boasts the latest military standards MIL-STD-810H for durability, which implies that the smartphone has passed 16 rigorous tests for durability and extreme environmental conditions and can withstand shocks, vibrations, accidental drops, extreme temperatures, high humidity, low altitude pressures and more. The display is protected against cracks and scratches with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is also IP68-rated to withstand dust, dirt, and sand, along with submersion in 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.

In terms of photography the Edge 50 sports a triple rear camera setup powered by Moto AI. The unit includes a 50-megapixel Sony-Lytia 700C primary sensor, a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with up to 3x optical zoom and 30X hybrid zoom, and a 13-megapixel 120º ultra-wide-angle lens. In addition to this, the device includes a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

The Motorola Edge 50 comes with dual-stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 68W Turbocharging and 15W wireless charging.
Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It runs on Hello UI based on Android 14 out of the box with assured 2 OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates. Hello UI features include Smart Connect, Moto Gestures, Moto Secure with Thinkshield, Family Spaces and Moto Unplugged.

Motorola Edge 50 price in India, sale details

Motorola Edge 50 launched in India with a price tag of Rs 27,999 for 8GB RAM with 256 GB storage. It is offered in three colour options Jungle Green and Peach Fuzz in a Premium Vegan leather finish and Koala Grey colour in a vegan suede finish. The device is said to be available for purchase from August 8 via Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores including Reliance Digital.
