Our Take

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold features a 6.3-inch OLED cover display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It boasts an 8-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2700 nits. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover display.

The Pixel 9 Fold Pro and Z Fold 6 smartphones use different processors and OSes. The Pixel 9 Fold Pro contains Google’s Tensor G4 chip and Titan M2 security chip, whilst the Z Fold 6 has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

In comparison to the Z Fold 6, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a slightly larger battery, a larger inner screen, and a higher-resolution front camera. While the Z Fold 6 is available in three different configurations with a smaller RAM capacity, the Google folding phone is only available in India with a single RAM and storage choice. For the Pixel Fold 9 Pro, Google guarantees seven years of Android OS updates, matching the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s OS updates. Additionally, Pixel offers a slightly larger battery that supports faster charging speeds. Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a fresh look and a tonne of AI functions. Thus, the Pixel 9 Fold is currently the undisputed winner.
