Vivo V40e with 50-megapixel front and back cameras launched in India

It goes along with the August-unveiled Vivo V40 and V40 Pro phones.

Vivo has expanded its V40 series in India with the launch of the V40e smartphone. The Vivo V40e features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera and an FHD+ display with Wet Touch Technology support. The panel also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and packs a 5,500mAh battery.

Vivo V40e has debuted in India with a starting price of Rs 28,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option. The price of the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage is set at Rs 30,999. The device comes in two colour options Mint Green and Royal Bronze.

Pre-booking is available on Flipkart and the official website. The handset will be available for purchase in India starting October 2 through Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and mainline stores. Vivo V40e Specifications

The Vivo V40e runs on FuntouchOS 14 skinned on top of Android 14. Under the hood, there is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,392 pixels of resolution. The panel includes a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The phone’s display is SGS low blue light certified and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo V40e has two rear cameras for taking pictures and videos: a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main sensor that supports optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera . The front camera can be used for video calls and selfies with a 50-megapixel sensor. There is a 4K video recording capability for both front and back cameras. AI Photo Enhancer and AI Eraser are functions that come with the phone.

The Vivo V40e boasts a 5,500mAh battery, 80W wired fast charging, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. It offers dual 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, OTG, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C ports for connectivity.
