AI Overviews in Google Search has expanded to over 100 countries

The upgrade expands language support throughout the site, allowing users to access material in English, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Google has announced the extension of its AI Overviews product to over 100 countries, marking the company’s most significant expansion effort since it first launched. The AI-powered function, which offers a quick summary of searched questions, was first confined to a select countries. Google will now provide AI Overviews to consumers in their selected languages, as reported last month. The function, which was originally made public in May, has also begun to display ads to select users at the bottom of the screen.

AI Overviews in Search, which launched in May and expanded beyond the United States in August, helps consumers look for relevant content and engage with publishers, companies, and creators. AI Overviews has expanded to over 100 nations and several languages, improving user experience and covering a wide range of search enquiries.

AI Overviews will be available in over 100 countries and territories, with over a billion monthly users. The upgrade expands language support throughout the site, allowing users to access material in English, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Users in countries having AI Overviews may now access material in their preferred language, such as Spanish in the United States.

AI Overviews in Search aims to assist people find information from publishers, businesses, and creators. The company said since May, the platform has provided more prominent connections to relevant websites, with a right-hand display on desktop and a comparable experience on mobile. In-line connections have also been included, increasing traffic to supporting websites over earlier designs.

According to the blog post, the Ads will continue to show in dedicated slots, with clear labels distinguishing between organic and sponsored results. AI Overviews ads are now available on relevant enquiries for mobile users in the United States, helping them to interact with more useful products and brands.
