Redmi 14C 5G with 120Hz display launched in India

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has introduced its latest budget smartphone Redmi 14C 5G in the Indian market today. The newly launched entry level phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It runs on HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box. Additionally, the handset features a 120Hz refresh rate display and houses a 5,160mAh battery. The phone has a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Redmi 14C 5G price in India starts at Rs 9,999 for the base 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. There are two more RAM storage options priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants with 128GB storage. The device will come in three colour options. Starlight Blue, Stardust Purple, and Stargaze Black colour options.

The device is scheduled to go on sale on January 10 at noon via mi.com , Xiaomi retail stores, Amazon and Flipkart.

Redmi 14C 5G specs, features

Redmi 14C 5G features a 6.88-inch HD+ Dot Drop LCD screen with 720×1640 pixels of resolution. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate support. Additionally, the panel has 600 nits peak brightness and TÜV Rheinland certified. It also includes TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free certification and Circadian certification. The device runs on HyperOS skin on top of Android 14 out of the box. The company is committing to 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. Under the hood, there is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM (6GB + 6GB extended) and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Redmi 14C 5G features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The camera includes HDR, Night Mode, and Portrait Mode to enhance the photography experience. For selfies it includes an 8-megapixel front facing camera.

The budget handset sports a 5,160mAh battery that comes with an 18W charging support and comes with a 33W charger in the box. Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio connector, and USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options. The ambient light sensor, accelerometer, virtual proximity sensor, and e-compass are all on board.
