Audio-Technica unveils AT-LP5X turntable in India

The latest turntable features an AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge.

Audio-Technica has introduced their latest turntable, the AT-LP5X, to the Indian market. This high-fidelity turntable is ideal for audiophiles and vinyl fans. It enhances the AT-LP5’s award-winning template, incorporating the new AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge.

The AT-LP5 from Audio-Technica is the successor to the well-liked AT-LP5, with enhancements and new features such as the AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge, which is the next generation of the legendary AT95E. Using the VM95 series, users can customise performance with the AT-VM95E, a pre-mounted headshell with an upgradeable stylus assembly that produces an amazing sound. With high-mass internal inserts and a sleek matt black finish, the turntable chassis is composed of anti-vibration materials. An RCA cable, dust cover, and a 5mm damping mat are included.

The AT-LP5 turntable has a low-noise, quartz-locked DC servo direct drive motor that can run at 33, 45, or 78 RPM. Inspired by Audio-Technica’s vintage turntables, its J-shaped tonearm has precision bearings and a metallic gimbal suspension mechanism. Additionally, the turntable features an adjustable dynamic anti-skate function to reduce tracking errors and improve vinyl record performance. For balanced on-axis rotation, the platter is made of aluminium and precisely machined.

With a “plug and play” approach, the AT-LP5X is a multipurpose phono/line preamp that connects straight to speakers, PCs, and home stereos. It’s phono/line preamp’s switchable Moving Magnet and Moving Coil let customers to play records right away, and MM/MC cartridges make it simple to change to a moving coil with extra equipment.

With its external power source, the AT-LP5X is a contemporary turntable that produces clearer sound by lowering signal chain noise. In addition, it has a USB output for digitising vinyl records, a cable for PC connection, and a link to free Audacity software for MP3, WAV, and other digital record conversion.

The AT-LP5X will be available on Amazon and Audio-Technica’s distribution network for Rs 66,340.
