Realme announced their first phone in the New Year in India. The Realme 5i will be the company’s latest addition to the Realme 5 series. This phone looks to be the effort of the company to produce a budget smartphone to flag 2020 phones in India with. The company claims that the Realme 5i will exceed all expectations and be the best smartphone in its category.
The Realme 5i is powered by Snapdragon 665 octa-core chipset, this gives the phone a core processor which works at a clock speed of 2.0GHz with improved graphics performance and features. The phone has a 6.52-inch full-screen display promising users a good experience be it in the form of gaming, audio or video. The device has a 5,000 mAh battery and a quad-camera setup.
The quad-camera setup includes an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a main camera of 12-Megapixel, a portrait lens of 2-Megapixel and an ultra-macro lens of 2-Megapixel as well. The front camera is of 8-Megapixel. The Realme 5i will run Android 9.0 with ColorOS 6.0 and will be upgraded to Android 10 with ColorOS 7 by May 2020. The Realme 5i also supports reverse charging. The phone is available in one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The device will be available for sale on the Realme website and Flipkart from January 15, 2020, at 12 PM for a price of Rs 8,999. The smartphone is available in two colour variants-Forest Green and Aqua Blue.

Users buying the Realme 5i on Realme’s website can avail 10% supercash worth Rs 1,000 by making a payment through Mobikwik. Users also have an option of availing an offer from Jio that offers benefits worth Rs 7,550 to users. Users can also exchange their old phone through a cashify exchange to avail a Rs 500 discount.
