In 2025, there were a lot of exciting tablets that crossed our desks. Here are our favourite picks across all price brackets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra
The top-spec model in Samsung’s annual flagship tablet series leaves no stone unturned in terms of hardware, specs, and performance. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra was one of the best tablets to come out in 2025. Its massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and can reach a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Powering this tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC. OS duties are handled by the Android 16-based One UI 8. The rear camera array houses a 13MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 11,600mAh battery pack supports 45W wired charging.
Apple iPad Pro
The iPad Pro model this year pushed the boundaries of what an ordinary tablet can do. Its biggest asset is the Apple M5 chipset at its core. This powerhouse of a processor can accomplish any task you throw at it. With the right accessories, you can replace your laptop with this tablet. The new iPadOS 26 taps into the raw power generated by the M5 chipset and harnesses it in fun and interesting ways. There are 2 size variants on offer: 11-inch and 13-inch. The Ultra Retina Tandem OLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The larger 13-inch variant has a 10,290mAh battery pack. Meanwhile, the 11-inch model packs an 8,160mAh unit.
OnePlus Pad 3
The Pad 3 from OnePlus offers a flagship-grade performance at a midrange price. At the heart of the tablet lies the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This processor powered a lot of flagship phones this year. The 13.2-inch IPS LCD panel is a level below its AMOLED counterparts, but it produces a brilliant viewing experience. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and can reach 900 nits in High Brightness Mode. There’s one 13MP camera at the back of this device. An 8MP front-facing camera carries out selfie duties. Apple iPad Air
The iPad Pro model this year was ridiculously decked out. For more casual users, Apple also put out an iPad Air in 2025. Like its Pro counterpart, the Air model also comes in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes. Its Liquid Retina IPS LCD panel can reach 600 nits of typical brightness. Powering this tablet is the Apple M3 processor. While it may not reach the outrageous benchmark numbers of Apple M5, the M3 is more than capable of handling power-intensive tasks like gaming and photo-editing. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is designed for users looking for an entertainment tablet instead of a performance champ. With that being said, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset powering the Go 2 does a great job of handling routine tasks. The tablet’s 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel has a 2K resolution and can reach 900 nits in High Brightness Mode. The 120Hz refresh rate offers smooth and fluid touch response.
