On the flipside, Apple stepped up and gave us a new successor in the AirPods Pro series. Tech outfits like OnePlus, Beats, and Nothing also had a say in the market. As 2025 comes to an end, here are our favourite earless eabuds (2025) from the year.

AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 were undoubtedly the finest pair of wireless earbuds released in 2025. The H2 chip powering this TWS offers state-of-the-art Active Noise Cancellation, which is further elevated by the stronger passive seal of these earbuds. Rated IP57 for dust and water resistance, these earbuds are able to deal with exposure to sweat during intense workouts. The new multiport acoustic architecture and updated Adaptive EQ improve the soundstage and elevate the vocals in music and calls. OnePlus Buds 4
The Buds 4 from OnePlus hit the market in July and remained one of the best TWS offerings of the calendar year. The 11mm 30-layer ceramic-metal woofers and 6mm flat tweeters produce a thumping audio output on these earbuds. You also get access to Hi-Res Audio and OnePlus 3D Audio. The triple mic setup fosters an amazing calling experience. When it comes to Active Noise Cancellation, these eabuds can nullify up to 55dB of surrounding sounds. CMF Buds 2 Plus
Nothing’s sub-brand CMF put out one of the best budget earbuds this year. Despite its affordability, the TWS does not feel like a cheap product. The quality of plastic used for the case is very high-end. It can easily withstand rough use. There’s an IP55 rating on board for protection against dust and water. The 12mm LCP drivers produce an amazing audio output. The soundstage gives a lot of room for the low, mid, and high frequencies to breathe and express themselves. There are 3 audio codecs on offer – AAC, SBC, and LDAC. Additionally, the earbuds can cancel up to 50dB of surrounding sounds. Sony WF-C710N
While Sony did not release a flagship TWS this year, its midrange offerings were pretty rock-solid. Our favourite of the bunch was WF-C710N. The transparent design of this TWS lends it a very chic look. The compact charging case can easily fit into tight pockets. The soundstage has that signature Sony appeal. The audio output is slightly warm, but well-rounded. There are twin microphones on each earbud for noise cancellation. The ‘Ambient Sound Mode’ captures ambient sounds for a more realistic listening experience. Beats Powerbeat Fit
The Beats Powerbeat Fit is the perfect TWS for listening to music while working out. Its compact form factor ensures the earbuds fit perfectly into the concha. The tiny earhooks further secure the fit. You can rely on these earbuds while hiking, running, lifting weights, and exercising. They are rated IPX4 for dust and water resistance. Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE
Samsung added a new ‘Fan Edition’ to its flagship Galaxy Buds3 lineup this year. The Galaxy Buds3 FE sport the edgy stem design as the rest of the series. Each earbud weighs just 5 grams, causing minimal ear fatigue upon prolonged usage. The triple-mic setup on each earbud facilitates crystal-clear calls and offers brilliant Active Noise Cancellation. There are 3 audio codecs on offer – AAC, SBC, and SSC (Samsung Seamless Codec). Each earbud is equipped with a 53mAh battery pack. The case holds an additional 515mAh. With ANC turned off, the earbuds offer a battery life of up to 8.5 hours. The charging case takes this to 30 hours.
Google Pixel Buds 2a
Google also refreshed its flagship earbuds lineup this year with the addition of the Buds 2a. These earbuds follow the design language of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and are powered by Google’s in-house Tensor A1 chip. It is the first A-series TWS from Google to offer Active Noise Cancellation. It is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance. The compact form factor and stemless design of the earbuds make them perfect to wear while working out. You can get up to 7 hours of playtime on a single charge. The charging case extends this to 20 hours.
Sennheiser Accentum Open
If you don’t like the passive noise cancellation that comes with the tight seal of most wireless earbuds, the Sennheiser Accentum Open are meant for you. Their open-ear design lets in a good amount of ambient sounds to make the listening experience more natural and realistic. You can wear these earbuds while walking on a busy street without having to worry about getting isolated from the sounds of the surrounding traffic. The budget beast Realme Buds T200 left a lasting impression on us this year. These earbuds are equipped with 12.4mm drivers, which produce a thumping, bass-heavy audio output. The soundstage is highly enjoyable for casual listening. There are 3 audio codecs on offer – SBC, AAC, and LDAC. In ANC mode, these eabuds can cancel up to 32dB of surrounding sounds.
