As we step into July, there are a bunch of smartphone releases to look forward to. This is the month when Samsung hosts its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year to showcase its new foldables. Other brands like OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo also step up their game this time of the year. While Google and Apple’s showcases may be a couple of months away, July will still be full of activity. Here are all the smartphones that have been confirmed to release in July 2025.

Nothing Phone (3)
Even though Nothing did not launch a premium smartphone last year, the tech outfit’s camp was buzzing with activity. The Phone (2a) series gained a lot of traction in the midrange segment, and its success paved the way for the Phone (3a) earlier this year. However, Nothing is now well and truly back with its premium offering, the Phone (3). Scheduled to launch on July 1, Nothing’s pièce de résistance will feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. A new dot matrix LED interface will grace the back panel of the Phone (3), but the brand’s LED Glyph lighting will no longer feature on its most premium product.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold & Flip 7
Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year is scheduled for July 9. The tech giant will unveil its newest foldables at this event. The Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 7 are expected to retain the design language of their current iterations, but will trim down the thickness. The Fold 7 is rumoured to be around 4.5mm thick when unfolded. The Flip 7 will extend its cover display to cover all edges. Both smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. There will be new colour variants on offer. Expect the foldables to demand a premium over their current versions.

OnePlus Nord 5 Series
The ‘Nord’ smartphones from OnePlus enjoy a lot of popularity in the midrange segment. The new Nord series, comprising Nord 5 and Nord CE 5, will be launched on July 8. A ‘Lite’ variant will be added to the series later down the line. The Nord 5 will become the first device in the series to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. It will pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC under its hood. Its rear camera array will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor. Selfie duties will be handled by a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor. Meanwhile, the Nord CE 5 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor. OnePlus will also launch the Buds 4 alongside these two smartphones.

Oppo Reno14 Series
Oppo’s highly anticipated Reno14 series will go on sale on July 3. The lineup comprises Reno14 and Reno14 Pro. The two smartphones went on sale in China last month. Oppo has confirmed that the Pro model in the Reno14 series will feature a Hypertone camera system with a 50MP quad-camera setup for dynamic travel photography. The primary shooter in this setup will use a large 1.55-inch OmniVision OV50E sensor. Both smartphones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor and will carry an IP69 rating. The 50MP JN5 front camera will also be shared between the two devices.

Vivo X Fold5
Vivo’s latest foldable delight went on sale in China earlier this week. One of the most awaited foldable smartphones of 2025, the Vivo XFold5 will go on sale globally in July. It’ll pack a 6,000mAh battery pack and carry an IP59+ rating, something we haven’t seen on a foldable so far. Vivo X Fold5 will measure just 4.3mm thick in an unfolded form. It’ll rock an 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display can hit a peak brightness of 5,500 nits. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will likely power the Pro model.

Vivo X200 FE
Vivo dropped a teaser for its compact flagship, X200 FE, earlier this week, confirming its launch. While the launch date has not been revealed yet, we expect the X200 FE to go on sale in the second week of July. The smartphone will flaunt a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It’ll be rated IP69 for protection against dust and water. Under the hood, the smartphone will rock a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. The triple rear camera setup will comprise a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Despite its compact form factor, the Vivo X200 FE will be equipped with a 6,500mAh Si/C battery pack.
