Infinix Smart 10 Review: A wonderful phone with AI features under 7k

The smartphone is great for the elderly and people planning to buy their first phone.

Infinix has some cool-looking smartphones, all of them in the budget bracket. This time, we got our hands on the Infinix Smart 10, its entry-level smartphone priced at Rs 6,799. For this much, what do you receive? Who is this phone intended for? Let’s talk about all of that in this detailed Infinix Smart 10 review.

Design and Display

We still receive a lot in its retail package, even if this smartphone is really reasonably priced. The phone comes with a plastic protective cover, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a charging adapter. Except for earphones, which are not included, you wouldn’t really need to spend extra money on accessories for this phone. Yes, you’re getting a lot for the price with this phone. Far more than others that are even costlier than the Infinix Smart 10.

Following the release of the Smart 9, Infinix made several design changes. The camera module was significantly reduced in size, and the flashlight was positioned outside of it. Many people are drawn to this new design because it is simple and clean, has a matte finish, is rare, and resembles the iPhone 16. Twilight Gold, Iris Blue, Titanium Silver, and Sleek Black are the available colour options. Although we think the silver would have looked better, this blue is still really good.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the phone. Yes, the power button functions as a fingerprint sensor, and it’s also rather quick. On the left side, there is a tray for two nano SIM cards and an SD card. On top, we have one of two speakers. The additional speaker is located at the bottom, near the Type-C connector, microphone, and headphone jack.

The Smart 10 also has an IP64 dust and water-resistance rating. So, if you’re outside and it begins to rain or water gets on your phone, it should survive. This phone can also withstand accidental drops. The Company has tested drops, and the phone will withstand them.

We have to mention that the speakers on this phone really amazed us. Infinix claims that these speakers provide a 300% louder output. We’re not sure what it suggests, but we do know they’re really loud. They might be the loudest speakers we’ve heard at this price range.

Review of Infinix Smart 10

The Infinix Smart 10 features a 6.7-inch 720p LCD that refreshes at up to 120 Hz. It boasts a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz and reaches 700 nits in high brightness mode. In our tests, the Smart 10 operated smoothly.

The refresh rate can change based on the app you are using and what you are doing with your phone. But yes, it is smooth. We watched several movies on it, and we have to say that the colours on the LCD panel appear excellent.

Performance and Camera

All right, let’s talk about performance. The CPU that powers the Smart 10 is the Unisoc T7250. For good reason, the same chipset has been used by a few other low-cost entry-level phones. In terms of performance, it’s special, if not the finest available phone at this price range. This might take care of your regular smartphone requirements.

Playing some games and multitasking are possible, but with low to medium graphical levels. based on the game’s level of graphic complexity. It’s not necessarily designed for gaming, even though we said that it can play games. Thus, this isn’t a phone for gaming. Few games cannot even be downloaded on this. If you want a phone that you can use for gaming, you’ll need to spend more money and look at other options. Our unit is the 4 GB RAM model with 64GB storage. Indeed, so far, we have had a positive experience.

Geekbench 6 results

  • Single-Core Score- 441
  • Multi-Core Score- 1467

And, in case you were wondering, this runs on XOS 15.1 based on Android 15. This phone’s software AI functions are very impressive.

Folax, Infinix’s AI assistant, is here and can do a lot with the Photos app. There is no image eraser, but Folax can remove people from your photos, and she does it effectively. She can also solve math problems for you. She will not only answer your question, but she will also explain how she arrived at it. English is not left behind. She can also assist with it. She can assist you in improving your work.

She is capable of changing the tone and is adept at correcting grammatical and spelling problems. Very handy, indeed. Another option we prefer is to show her a photo and then ask her questions about that picture.

This also applies to your articles. You can hand it to her and ask her to give an overview. The fact that all of this is possible with a phone in this price range is quite remarkable.

All right, how about the cameras? You might think this phone has two cameras if you look at the rear; however, it just has one. And we will come back to that camera soon. First of all, we would like to draw attention to the fact that the second lens at the rear is not a lens at all. It’s an infrared blaster. In other words, the Smart 10 may also be used as a remote control. Alright, let’s get back to the cameras.

Review of Infinix Smart 10

There is an 8 MP primary camera on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. 8 MP is hardly a lot of megapixels. So we didn’t have high expectations for this camera test. We expected it to capture decent shots if given enough light, and that’s exactly what we received.

The Smart 10 features a massive 5,000 mAh battery. The majority of people would be able to use this phone all day. It’s one of the things this phone excels at. Charging, on the other hand, isn’t ideal here. It is not quick. It will take around 3 hours to charge this phone from 0 to 100%. It’s definitely one of those phones you leave plugged in overnight and have no worries about. The good thing is that they include the charger and charging cable in the box.

Conclusion

So, what can you purchase for Rs 7,000? We think you will receive a phone that excels at basics while also including a few interesting and helpful AI capabilities. We believe you receive an excellent value for the price. And now for the other question: who is this phone for? It is best suited to people in search of their first smartphone, particularly those who want to benefit from the AI capabilities on this phone. If you’re looking for something with a large battery that can last all day, this is yet another option to consider.
