How to join the waitlist for Apple Intelligence? When will it be released?

Apple Intelligence will arrive a month after the release of iOS 18.

AI integration is the hottest topic across all smartphones this year. Samsung kicked off the proceedings in January with the launch of Galaxy AI on its Galaxy S24 series smartphones. Google upped the ante with a range of new AI features on the Pixel 9 series. OEMs like Oppo and OnePlus have also stepped up their AI game and brought a healthy dose of intelligent tools to their flagship and midrange products. However, Apple could be saving the best for the last. We got a taste of Apple Intelligence earlier this year at the company’s WWDC24 event. Since then, a few AI features have made their way into the beta releases of iOS 18. Let’s take a look at when Apple Intelligence will be released officially and how you can join its waitlist.

When will Apple Intelligence be released for iPhone users?

Apple Intelligence will be a big part of the upcoming iOS 18. However, it won’t be released alongside the iOS 18. This means that the new iPhone 16 Series will not come with AI features out of the box. So when does Apple plan on releasing its AI suite? The answer depends on where you live. iPhone users in the US will get access to Apple Intelligence in October. If you live in the following regions, the AI suite will reach your device by December:

  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • New Zealand
  • South Africa

If you can’t wait to get your hands on Apple Intelligence, download the latest iOS 18.1 beta version on your iPhone. Once the OS has been installed on your device, you need to join a waitlist to access the features. Make sure that you set your device’s language to US English before you join the waitlist.
