How to make the lock screen clock bigger on iPhone (iOS 26)

Check out this new lock screen feature for iOS 26.

The first Developer Beta version of iOS 26 is now live and can be downloaded on eligible iPhones. Apart from the much-talked-about ‘Liquid Glass’ design language, Apple’s new mobile OS version adds a few new features that give it a unique flair. One of these new features is the option to enlarge the lock screen clock to fill in the negative space. Here’s how you can make the lock screen clock widget bigger on your iPhone.

Before you begin

Unlike Apple Intelligence features, the option to enlarge the lock screen clock widget is available on all iPhones with iOS 26. As of now, you can download the Developer Beta version of iOS 26 on your iPhone. All models from iPhone 12 onwards are eligible for this upgrade. The Public Beta version will go live in July, and the stable version will be released alongside the iPhone 17 series in September.

There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind while customising the lock screen clock widget. Firstly, the option to enlarge the clock may not be available on every wallpaper. Secondly, this feature only works with the default clock font. If you change the font, you will have to contend with the default size. When you enlarge the clock, the widgets that are placed below it get moved to the bottom of the screen. To make the best of this feature, use it on wallpapers with a lot of negative space.
