As per the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), to contain the COVID-19 infection, a Movement Pass shall be required for moving out during the weekend curfew. The weekend curfew will start from Friday at 10:00 PM till Monday at 06:00 AM. Throughout the weekend curfew hours, only essential services shall be permitted.
As per the regulations of the Government of Delhi, you may move under the following restrictions.
- Cinema Halls will function only at 30 per cent of their total capacity.
- The weekly market will open per day per zone.
- Only takeaway services will be allowed at restaurants and hotels.
- Curfew passes will be needed for those involved in wedding functions scheduled during the curfew hours.

What are the types of Movement Passes?
There are two kinds of Movement Passes issued during the Delhi weekend curfew.
- Type 1: For individuals who need the pass to visit a hospital or to buy an essential commodity.
- Type 2. For individuals who deliver essential commodities within or outside Delhi.
How to apply for the Delhi weekend curfew pass online?
To apply for the movement pass for the Delhi weekend curfew, follow these steps.
- Launch a web browser on your PC or smartphone.
- Go to the Delhi Police website (https://www.delhipolice.nic.in/)
- Click on the tab named ‘Movement Pass’. You will need to create an account.
- Enter the details in the form like Name, Mobile Number, and Address.
- Upload your recent photograph
- Upload a valid identity proof like Aadhar card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, or Voter ID.
- Click the Submit button to complete the registration process.
You will soon receive an SMS regarding the approval of your Movement Pass for the Delhi weekend curfew.
To download your Movement Pass for the Delhi weekend curfew, follow these steps.
- Go to the Delhi Police website (https://www.delhipolice.nic.in/)
- Click on the tab named ‘Movement Pass’.
- Log in using your username and password.
- Right-click to save the page onto your device.
You must note that you may use one account to make multiple Movement Pass applications. Throughout the application process, you will receive two messages, first, on acceptance of the application and second, at the time of validation of the Movement Pass.
