Acer Announces the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition laptop

The laptop is powered by an 11th-Gen Intel Core CPU paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

Acer launched the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition (AV15-51R) laptop. The new Acer Aspire laptop has a 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic built. As the name suggests the device supports the National Geographic Society in its work to protect our world through exploration, research, and education. Powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processor the device is integrated with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It operates on Windows 11 and has Wi-Fi 6 support.

the Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition (AV15-51R) will be available in France for EUR 899 and for RMB 5,499 in China. The device will go on sale in March and January in France and China respectively. The laptop will also be available in multiple countries across the Asia Pacific.

The Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition comes pre-installed with Windows Under the chassis there is an undisclosed 11th-Gen Intel Core CPU paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The company has used 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic with several diagonal lines running across approximately half of the top cover. The classic National Geographic yellow border is printed immediately into the bottom right corner of the keyboard when the laptop is opened. The statement “For Planet Earth” is written in yellow text on the spacebar.

According to Acer 30%, PCR plastic is also utilized in the laptop’s screen bezel and 50% in its keycaps. The bottom cover comes off with eleven standard Phillips-head screws, revealing a well-organized set of internals that allows users to easily replace the RAM and SSD.

In terms of connectivity, the Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition offers Wi-Fi 6, all the necessary ports including USB Type-C and two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one of which can be used to charge mobile devices even when the computer is turned off.
