Airtel launches Rs 349, Rs 399 postpaid plans with up to 40GB data

Here's a look at new postpaid plans from Airtel.

Telecommunications major Airtel has introduced new postpaid plans today. Among the new postpaid plans are its Rs 349 and its Rs 399 offers. While the latter is applicable everywhere in India, the Rs 349 plan is exclusive only to Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Delhi/NCR, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The new postpaid plans by the telecom major come with various benefits like data access, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.

We should mention that these two plans have been introduced after Airtel replaced its original Rs 399 postpaid plan with a Rs 499 plan. According to a listing on the Airtel website, the Rs 349 postpaid plan comes with 5GB of data, unlimited local, STD and roaming calls and 100 SMS per day. The plan also comes with data rollover benefits. It also comes bundled with ZEE5 and Airtel TV premium access.

Coming to Rs 399 plan, it has 40GB data along with with data rollover, unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, and 100 SMS per day. The plan also comes with ZEE5 and Airtel TV Premium access and it also provides access to the handset protection service.

We should also mention that these plans are circle specific. So you can get the Rs 349 plan in Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Delhi/ NCR, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu circles. However, the Rs 399 plan can be availed pan India.

The report about these new postpaid plans first came in Telecom Talk.

In an unrelated piece of news, Vodafone has launched a new unlimited plan that costs Rs 299. The plans come with unlimited voice calling and has a validity of 70 days. It also has 3G/4G data and 1,000 SMS. The data and SMS in this pack are meant for the entire validity of the plan and not just for daily quota.

Vodafone’s new recharge plan is also not available for all telecom circles currently. The company’s new Rs 299 plan is listed under the ‘Unlimited’ section of the ‘Best Prepaid Recharge Plans’ on Vodafone India’s website.

It is very evident that the Rs 299 prepaid plan of Vodafone is aimed at users who are inclined towards a prepaid plan that comes with more validity. The new plan from Vodafone is also meant for those who prefer to have predominantly unlimited local and STD benefits.
