Amazon announced a new AI feature called Recaps for Kindle devices

The Recaps feature on Kindle makes it easier for  book series fans to keep up with plots and character arcs. This function is accessible to US Kindle device readers of thousands of best-selling English-language eBook series.

Amazon is releasing a new AI feature called Recaps for Kindle devices, which will deliver a brief AI-generated summary of previously read books in a series. The functionality is presently only accessible in the United States via an over-the-air (OTA) update. Recaps may be found on the series page of the Kindle library.

Amazon, a Seattle-based tech behemoth, has developed an AI-powered Recaps feature for Kindle readers in the United States. The function is intended to help readers who struggle to reintroduce a book series upon forgetting key plot facts. This problem occurs when a series is unfinished, resulting in reading boredom and genre monotony.

Amazon’s Recaps feature improves the experience of Kindle readers by giving them a quick way to delve into intricate worlds and characters. It offers an uninterrupted reading experience across a variety of genres, including mystery thrillers and epic fantasy series, and it can accommodate both long-time and popular favourites.

The AI-generated recap tool on Amazon provides users with a short synopsis of previous books, complete with narrative highlights, storylines, and character journeys. However, the function is limited to English-language ebooks in series and alerts users to spoilers.

Within weeks, customers can get Recaps by downloading the most recent software or getting an upgrade over the air. Click the “View Recaps” button on the series page or the “View Recaps” item in the series grouping menu to see if a series has any recaps.
