Amazon introduced the Echo Show 5 (3rd Generation) in India, featuring a 5.5-inch display

Amazon has announced the Echo Show 5 (3rd Generation) in India, which includes a 5.5-inch display, a built-in camera, and the Alexa speech assistant for convenient home monitoring. The gadget works on the AZ2 Neural Edge processor and is available in Charcoal and Cloud Blue colours. The Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) is Alexa-powered, available in two colours, and features a 1.7-inch rear-facing speaker. Users may also use Alexa to operate compatible smart home appliances. The gadget replaces the 2021 Echo Show 5 (2nd Generation).

The Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) is a versatile entertainment device with enhanced display and acoustic capabilities, making it ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, and study areas. It lets users to watch movies, TV series, workout videos, and music videos through their browser.
The Echo Show 5 has a tiny 5.5-inch display with rounded corners and an infinity cover glass. Its redesigned user interface allows for a comfortable viewing experience, especially at night. Customers may use the display to get instant weather updates, operate smart home functions, and watch security camera video feeds.

The Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) includes a ‘Drop In’ function that allows users to monitor their homes remotely. It can connect with compatible security cameras and video doorbells, allowing users to monitor video feeds on the screen. Users may now make video chats to friends and family via Echo devices or the Alexa app, as well as send messages and connect to other Echo devices for quick announcements.

The gadget is powered by the newer, faster AZ2 Neural Edge processor and has an enhanced microphone array.

The Echo Show 5 has enhanced privacy protections, including a built-in camera shutter, a microphone on/off switch, and the ability to examine and delete audio recordings through the Alexa app.

The Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) has an updated speaker system, with a 1.7-inch rear-facing speaker that provides double bass and crisper voices, making music, podcasts, and audiobooks more pleasurable. Alexa may be used to request songs, artists, or genres from a variety of platforms. The device also supports multi-room music, enabling users to establish customised groups for different rooms, such as “upstairs.”

The new Echo Show 5 employs Alexa to give hands-free voice control for things including as scheduling, setting reminders, and adding items to to-do and shopping lists. Users may also operate compatible smart home equipment, such as lights, air conditioners, fans, security cameras, televisions, and geysers by asking Alexa or tapping the device’s screen. Users can, for example, operate the air conditioner or switch off the lights at particular times. Users may also use the gadget to play music and make shopping lists.

In India, the Amazon Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) will be available in India at a discounted price of Rs 10,999. It comes in two colour options: Charcoal and Cloud Blue. The smart display is up for sale in the county via Amazon.in, Flipkart, and select offline stores of Reliance Digital and Croma.
