According to a report the iPhone 16 series would be released sooner than last year, potentially on Tuesday. The next iPhones will likely include new features and enhancements, including advanced technology such as Apple Intelligence.
Apple iPhone 16 Series Launch Details
According to a report Apple is likely to release the iPhone 16 series on September 10; sales of the smartphones are anticipated to begin on September 20. This is in line with the September 12 launch date of the iPhone 15 series, which also happens to be a Tuesday. Apple broke from this custom in 2022, revealing the iPhone 14 series on a Wednesday. However, reports and leaks are indicating that the iPhone 16 might not be released on a Tuesday.

It’s anticipated that the design of the iPhone 16 series would resemble that of the iPhone 12. The standard model may come with vertically orientated lenses and a revamped camera island. A seven-colour option of the iPhone 16 Plus is rumoured to be available, including Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Black, White, and Purple. Two new additions are Purple and White. The iPhone 16 Plus will have less noticeable bezels and a multifunctional Action button that allows users to customise shortcuts.
Anticipated features of the iPhone 16 series include a camera with a focus button and gesture control. Base models are believed to enable spatial video for 3D immersive recordings, while Pro models might consist of an upgraded ultra wide-angle camera and anti-reflective technology to reduce lens flare. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models may come with a multifunctional Action button, a Capture button for control over focus and gestures similar to a DSLR, and the capability for spatial video for creating immersive 3D videos. Apple Intelligence may be included in the iOS 18.1 update rather than the iOS 18 release on launch day.

There are rumours that the iPhone 16 Pro model will have a 6.27-inch display, up from 6.1 inches, and 20% brighter, with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The basic iPhone 16 is expected to have a 6.1-inch OLED display and be powered by an A18 Bionic chip from TSMC’s 3nm process, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have an A18 Pro chip.
