Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro and ROG Phone 9 gaming phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU launched

The series includes a triple rear camera setup and an AMOLED screen.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 Series has now formally entered the market. The ROG Phone 9 Pro and ROG Phone 9 are part of the series; both include a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 sensor, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and three microphones. AMOLED screens and a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU power the series. The phones have an IP68 rating. An AeroActive Cooler X Pro is included with the Pro Edition model.

Asus ROG Phone 9 Series Pricing

The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro is priced at EUR 1,200 which converts to Rs 1,00,000 for the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant. The Asus Phone 9 begins at EUR 1,099 translating to Rs 98,000 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option. The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition costs EUR 1,500 approximately Rs 1,33,000 for the single 24GB RAM with 1TB storage model.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 comes in Phantom Black and Storm White. Both the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition and ROG Phone 9 Pro will come in a single Storm White colour option.

Specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 9 series phones have a 6.78-inch full-HD+Samsung AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The panel has a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and supports HDR10. The display supports Always-On and is rated at 2,500 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The ROG Phone 9 Pro and ROG Phone 9 runs Android 15-based ROG UI and are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Both the ROG 9 and the Pro model have up to 512GB of storage and a maximum of 16GB of RAM. Whereas the 9 Pro Edition has 1TB of UFS4.0 storage and 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 phones feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 1/1.56-inch sensor with f1/9 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with 120-degrees of FoV and a 5-megapixel macro camera on the standard ROG Phone 9 whereas the ROG Phone 9 Pro sports a 32-megapixel sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom. The devices include a 32-megapixel RGBW camera with 1.4µm binning on the front for selfies and video calling.

Asus ROG Phone 9

Connectivity features of the Asus ROG Phone 9 Series include USB Type-C connector, GNSS, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G, and 4G LTE. In addition to an in-display fingerprint sensor for identification, it has sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and air trigger.
For thermal control, they make use of the business’s own ROG GameCool 9 cooling technology and are IP68-certified for dust and water resistance. Three microphones, noise reduction technology, Dirac Virtuo technology, Hi-Res Audio certification, and AI-based gaming capabilities like X sense, X capture, and AI grabber are all included in the Asus ROG Phone 9.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro feature a 5,800mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.
