At the heart of Dyson‘s Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer lies an arsenal of state-of-the-art features designed to prioritize scalp health and enhance the natural shine of hair. The brainchild of Dyson’s relentless commitment to research and development, this intelligent hair dryer boasts groundbreaking Nural sensor technology, setting a new benchmark in hair care innovation.

James Dyson, Founder and Chief Engineer of Dyson, expressed his excitement about this groundbreaking invention, stating, “If you’re able to limit heat damage, you can get a healthier scalp; and healthier hair. Our new Supersonic Nural has a time of flight sensor which recognizes your head and reduces the heat as it gets close to your hair, preventing heat damage to both your scalp and your hair.”

Key to the Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer’s prowess is its Scalp Protect mode, powered by a network of Nural sensors. These sensors work in tandem to automatically adjust heat and airflow, providing optimal scalp comfort and drying speed while minimizing the risk of damage. A time-of-flight sensor precisely measures the distance between the machine and the hair, ensuring that heat is reduced to the optimum temperature of 55°C when close to the scalp.

Furthermore, the hair dryer’s Attachment Learning feature revolutionizes styling routines by memorizing users’ preferences and automatically applying their preferred heat and airflow settings for each styling attachment. This intelligent adaptation not only streamlines the styling process but also ensures consistent results tailored to individual needs.

Shawn Lim, Head of Research at Dyson, shed light on the scientific foundation behind the Scalp Protect mode, stating, “From our research into the science of hair, we know that there is a connection between the quality of hair and a healthy scalp. The Scalp Protect mode helps to maintain scalp moisture levels and allows for gentle drying, thus promoting scalp health.”

In addition to its new technology, the Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer boasts a range of new attachments catering to various hair types and styling needs. From the Gentle Air Attachment for fast yet gentle styling to the Flyaway Smoother utilizing the Coanda effect to tame flyaways, Dyson ensures versatility and performance across the board.
