FAU-G set for a release in November, the first trailer released

The desi alternative to PUBG will be based on brawler mechanics

FAU-G an Indian alternative to PUBG game was announced by Akshay Kumar just after the Chinese Gaming app ban in the country. Till now a no specific timeline was announced and now a new trailer of the upcoming gaming app has been released revealing the official launch timeline. The trailer has been shared via Twitter by the Bangalore-based publisher nCore Games the developer of the game and is widely being promoted by Indian game industry veteran Vishal Gondal and actor Akshay Kumar. For the unknowns, FAU-G is short for Fearless and United-Guards and is touted to be a contribution towards the “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India) campaign by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  

FAU-G is said to launch next month in India that is November however a fixed launch date still remains a mystery. The Bangalore-based publisher nCore Games took to Twitter to share the first teaser of the Fearless and United Guards. The is a one-minute short trailer video that reveals the game is set in the Galwan Valley which is also a controversial flashpoint between China and India. Following the Galwan Valley skirmish on 15 June the Government of India decided to put a ban on hundreds of Chinese app in the country including PUBG Mobile as well as TikTok.

As per the developers, the India game will go without a battle royale mode instead it will have a brawler technicality to exchange blows and to retain the originality of the game. It will include both single-player as well as a cooperative multiplayer option. This is going to be based on the real situations encountered by the Indian security forces to cope with both domestic and foreign terrorizations and soon this will be available on both Google Play Store and the Apple App Store and will also be free to play with in-app purchases however nothing much has been revealed by the developer.

Apart from this, Vishal Gondal’s NCore in the past while promoting the game promised to donate 20 percent of its revenue to the government’s fund-raising initiative Bharat Ke Veer.
