Google has put out the October 2025 Android update, which includes several important improvements for Android devices. These include enhanced security, wallet ease, Play Store personalisation, and developer tools. The update is available for Android smartphones, tablets, Wear OS, Android TV, Auto, and PCs.
Google notes that some of the changes in the changelog may not be immediately visible to all users since they are implemented gradually and may take weeks or months to reach every device.
Google Play services (v25.41) now include reCAPTCHA web verification for Android users, the ability to view and delete hidden passkeys within Google Password Manager, and a new Advanced Protection page that highlights sensitive security access requests for apps, thereby increasing transparency around data protection.

Google Wallet has been updated to allow users to add cards straight from banking apps without having to manually enter card information. Users of Android 12 or earlier who have Gmail-imported loyalty passes will receive alerts when the Wallet app is installed. Live updates for travel now give real-time information, making trip management easier.
The October announcement includes new APIs for ad-related activities, which improve collaboration between Google and third-party apps. It also adds support for Maps functionalities and allows LE Audio device pairing across several components, improving Bluetooth audio experiences.

Google Play Store version 48.5 now allows Android users to find specific content inspired by their apps, aggregating comparable titles and media for greater interaction. Users in Mongolia may now buy in-app items and subscriptions on phones, TVs, Wear OS devices, and PCs, broadening Google’s payment options.
Android System Intelligence (v39) and Private Compute Services (v35) have been updated to improve stability, address LLM interaction issues, increase database dependability, and improve animation performance.
