Google Pixel 10a with 48-megapixel rear camera launched in India: Price in India, Specifications

The new phone is scheduled to go on sale next month.

Today, Google released the Pixel 10a in India. The Tensor G4 chipset powers this phone, which comes with Android 16. It also has a dual rear camera system with a 48-megapixel camera. It features a strong aluminium frame and is rated IP68 for water and dust protection. It also includes a big 5,100mAh battery. There will be four colours to choose from for the device.

In India, the Google Pixel 10a has been introduced at a starting price of Rs 49,999 for a single 8GB of RAM with a 256GB storage option. The handset is scheduled to go on sale starting March 6 online at the Google Store and Flipkart, as well as at major retailers across the country. The device is currently up for pre-order in the country. It is offered in three colour options: Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian.

As of today, the Pixel 10a is currently part of the Google Pixel Upgrade Program in India. The Pixel 10 series launched this affordability option in December 2025. It has no down payment or interest and a monthly payment plan. After paying nine EMI payments, users can get the newest Pixel phone, no matter what condition their existing phone is in.

Specs and Features

The Pixel 10a has a flat back and a camera bar that doesn’t stick out, making it comfortable to carry. It puts sustainability first by using the most recycled materials of any A-series Pixel, such as cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten. The frame is made of 100% recycled aluminium, and the rear is made of 81% recycled plastic. The phone comes in four new colours: Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian.

The Google Pixel 10a has a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED screen with a resolution of 1,080×2,424 pixels, which makes visuals look clear and bright. The display can refresh at a fast rate of up to 120 Hz, which makes motion and interactions on the screen smoother. The Pixel 10a also has a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, which makes it easy to see even in strong light. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which makes it scratch- and drop-proof. It also has an IP68 classification, which means it can withstand dust and water.

The Google Pixel 10a runs Android 16 and guarantees seven years of OS and security updates, which is a lot. The Tensor G4 chipset, which was also utilised in the previous model, powers it. This means that performance stays the same. The device has a Titan M2 security coprocessor for further safety. The Pixel 10a has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which means it can handle many different tasks.

The Google Pixel 10a has two rear cameras. The main one has 48 megapixels, an f/1.7 aperture, a 25 mm focal length, a 1/2.0-inch sensor, and optical image stabilisation (OIS). It also has a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view that uses a 1/3.1-inch sensor. Additionally, the gadget features a 13-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture for video calls and selfies.

The Google Pixel 10a has a powerful 5,100 mAh battery that provides over 30 hours of battery life and up to 120 hours when using the Extreme Battery Saver mode. It can charge at 30W wired or 10W wireless.
