Gemini-powered Nest Cams and a Doorbell
To make the most of Gemini’s intelligence, the new wired devices—the Nest Cam Indoor (3rd gen), Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd gen), and Nest Doorbell (3rd gen)—were developed as true AI cameras that can comprehend and understand their surroundings. These cameras use powerful multimodal AI to provide rich, detailed data, resulting in faster warnings and simpler identification of significant moments. Notably, they deliver outstanding image quality with 2K HDR footage, the best resolution available, which improves the AI’s ability to interpret complicated semantic situations. The new Nest Cams and wired Nest Doorbell have the largest and highest field of vision to date. The Nest Cams provide a 152-degree diagonal vision, which allows for extensive surveillance of large areas such as yards or driveways. With its unique 1:1 aspect ratio, the Doorbell provides a 166-degree diagonal vision, allowing users to see parcels on the ground, as well as large entryways and complete views of guests. Furthermore, zoomed-in animated previews will be embedded into alerts, allowing users to see what caused an event, such as recognising persons or vehicles immediately from the lock screen. The cameras have intelligent alerts to distinguish between humans, cars, and animals, while the Doorbell notifies users of parcels. Furthermore, the video history has been enhanced from three to six hours, allowing users to examine missed notifications using 10-second event clips rather than text logs.
The new Nest Cam and Doorbell will be available on October 1st, priced at $99.99 for the indoor version and $149.99 for the outdoor version, with a two-pack option for $249. These gadgets will be available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The Nest Doorbell is $179.99 and only available in the United States and Canada. The Gemini for Home capabilities will be rolled out to these devices in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia, with further territories projected to receive upgrades by early 2026.

The new Google Home Speaker was designed exclusively for the Gemini for Home system, concentrating on more natural conversation flows.
