Huawei announced that its smartphones and tablets will continue getting Android updates. On its official website, the company said “Anyone who has already bought or is about to buy a Huawei smartphone can continue to access the world of apps as they have always done. All the devices continue to be covered by our manufacturer’s warranty and will receive full-service support accordingly. Our most popular current devices including the P30 series will be able to access Android Q. In fact, we have already launched a beta developer program for Android Q which is running right now on our Mate 20 Pro device.”
Although Huawei is entangled in a legal battle with the US government over doubts around data security and surveillance that resulted in banning Huawei from doing business with US companies. Very recently Google also put on hold all the business-related bond with Huawei after the US government Ban. However, Google has temporarily lifted the ban until August. The users of Huawei smartphone can now breath a sigh of relief after hearing about the confirmation from the Chinese smartphone maker that all the current devices including Huawei P30 series will be getting Android Q update. The owners of Huawei smartphones can download apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram from the Play Store.
Here is the list of Huawei’s smartphones that are confirmed to get Android Q update:
P30 Pro, P30, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Porsche Design Mate 20 RS, PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 10, P30 Lite, P smart 2019, P smart+ 2019, P smart Z, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 X (5G,) P20 Pro, P20 Mate 10 and Pro Mate 20 Lite.
To recall, very recently the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched P30 Pro. The company has also rolled out a new update for this smartphone that supports the device’s ultra-low latency Bluetooth. The latest update improves the sound quality that reduces the time the device takes to sync audio when connected headphones, too.
The P30 Pro camera was facing the problem of abnormal display of recorded videos on it, that has been improved as well. In the upgrade, the device also gets a new feature to employ more than one face to unlock the smartphone. Over that, the P30 Pro was facing the problem of fingerprint authentication before, that has also been fixed. The new update also improves the quality of the camera. Now the photo quality appears more natural and authentic.
