Huawei Watch GT runs the company’s own Light OS platform and is powered by Cortex-M4 processor. Among the key highlights of Huawei Watch GT is its battery life. The smartwatch’s battery is touted to last for 30 days with GPS and heart rate tracking off. If the user chooses to turn on the heart rate monitor, Huawei Watch GT’s battery will last for a fortnight. Even if the usage is very heavy and the user chooses to switch on the GPS, the heart rate tracking and keeps the screen in ‘Always On’ mode, Huawei Watch GT’s battery will still last for 22 hours, the company claims.
The smartwatch features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and sports a dual crown. Huawei Watch GT is made of 316L stainless steel clubbed with ceramic bezels. The smartwatch comes with 5ATM water resistance, which means that it can work perfectly in up to 50 metres of water. So, you can easily take it for a swim with yourself.
Huawei Watch GT has 12MB of RAM and 128MB of internal ROM. It is compatible with devices that run Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 9.0 or more.
The smartwatch also has an optical heart rate sensor that uses 6LEDs and is backed by the company’s TruSeen 3.0 technology. Huawei has claimed that TruSeen 3.0 technology makes the device learn over time about the usage pattern to give users a more personalised experience.
Huawei Watch GT comes with built-in GPS and can be used to track users’ daily activities while being connected to Health Assistant app. The device can also be used to track sleep and steps.
