Infinix has released XOS 16, an AI-powered operating system that prioritises productivity, personalisation, and gaming. The OS has a modern, clutter-free UI with smooth animations and a Glow-space concept. It features smart battery management for longer battery life, professional gaming optimisation for high frame rate performance, built-in security that remains active even after SIM removal, and dependable touch and motion intelligence for continuous use in a variety of environments. XOS 16 integrates AI-driven tools and resilient systems to ease daily work and improve user focus.
XOS 16 will be available on all forthcoming Infinix smartphones, with a phased rollout of software updates for eligible existing devices starting soon. Details on eligible devices will be announced shortly.
XOS 16 improves personalisation by allowing users to customise their devices based on their mood and style. It has a broader selection of wallpaper formats and AI integration for producing themes and wallpapers from scratch. The Depth Effect ensures visual continuity between the lock screen and the home screen, contributing to a more fluid experience. Users can choose from a variety of creative options, such as anime-inspired designs and AI-generated portraits, allowing for a completely personalised expression.

XOS 16 facilitates action based on purpose through a variety of features. One-Tap FlashMemo enables users to instantly turn notes into actionable things such as events, calls, routes, and drafts. The Ask Folax capability allows users to easily save ideas with a single tap. Mind Hub intelligently organises content, while AI Writing improves the quality of messages. AI Suggestions monitors user behaviour and offers appropriate apps at the best moments, all from a centralised One-Tap-to-AI panel. Furthermore, YouTube Summary provides brief video highlights for efficiency, while Video Battery Saver reduces power usage during long streaming sessions.
Touch Transfer for iPhone uses NFC technology to share photos instantly, including Live Photos, without the need for a network connection. This is assisted with a companion app, which allows for fast and easy media sharing across multiple platforms. Furthermore, the device will include battery intelligence capabilities such as bypass charging, which reduces heat during heavy use, and battery self-repair, which can extend battery life by up to 1.5 years.

Outdoor Reliability features include Motion Sickness Relief Mode for better travel comfort, Touch optimisation for precise rain-proof bags, and Sweaty Hand Recognition to reduce unwanted touches. In terms of security, the Remote Enable Find My Device feature enables tracking even without a SIM card. For gaming, it includes frame interpolation for improved visuals and AI tools for increased gameplay, as well as features like Magic Voice Changer and an Immersive Gaming Zone in XOS 16.
